I only posted up the quote guys I've not done the testing.
One thing I will say though, I aint seen an impy work 100% reliably with a Halo yet, so yes it may be right up there speed wise, but what ya gonna feed it with?

I put a halo on a new speed, sensi was bust but I still didn't chop a single ball!

As for eyes I'm sure the WAS ones will use the existing eye holes, not all the WAS eyes have a circuit board behind them, the Viking/Excal ones don't!

My cranky old first-release impy works 100% reliably with a Halo. Pity the Halo itself can't manage to, though. Let's hope the motor they've sent me this time last longer than the last two - it does seem a bit sturdier and better quality all round, maybe it will last more than 3 tourneys this time.

95% of the problems people have with impys and halos are the ball detents. Stiffer detents normally sort it out. Sometimes impys with LPRs need an extra click or two of dwell, but only if the LPR pressure is very low.

Im pretty sure that WAS would make the eye the same fitting as the current one or it would a lot of very unhappy high-end impy owners!
The WAS eye is (obviously) intended to fit the existing holes on vision-compatible impulses, but the stock eye cover won't fit without some modification. The WAS board will be supplied with a replacement eye cover. So it'll be business as usual for all vision impys, with the added bonus of something visually different (what's the point of spending all this money if people can't see it! Hence the little knob on the front of the tapeworm - pointless, but it gives people something to see for their money.)

What this means for all of us pre-vision owners, however, is the potential of a slightly easier conversion job, because the new eye cover won't depend on the ball detent to hold it in place, so there is a little more flexibility of positioning. For instance, on the old bodies the ball detent is in a different position, which obstructs the centreline of the feed, so the only possible place for the eye is on the LHS of the body. Not a reasonable prospect with the SP vision eye, but it should be possible with the WAS eye.

Very interesting. However the problem isn't cycling the marker that fast, it's retaining a consistent air charge at those speeds. As far as I know there's only one marker valve in existence that will fire over 30cps without any velocity dropoff.....

and in the REAL world how many players can actually fire at that speed? there was an article in pgi a while ago where they interviewed several top teams and asked who their fastest trigger was. most seemed to be high teens with the odd low 20.

amazing how many uk ballers can outstrip these ROF's. 30 bps on full auto - easy, 30 in semi mode without trigger bounce helping - difficult

hats off to those that can do this :) you deserve a place on a pro team just for the number of hours u must have spent getting that trigger oull sorted!

Just downloaded the video of the Impy WAS from wicked air sports webby, fastest thing I've ever seen go, and by the looks of it its just a stock Impy with nothing fancy on it from what you can make out :)

Click here to see it... 4.5mb it is :)
