Where will the tourney be

6th Element, for all those who don't know, is a site up near Durham, at Whitton Castle. They have a website (cant remember the URL but its very easy to find with a search engine) with directions.

The site is the ever greatful DUPS's sponsor, and (when ever we get organised) where we practice.

I hope to see as many of you as possible up there as it should be a great tournament, and will get us one step closer to making this wierd little hobbie of ours an official sport (BUSA will not sponsor anything until the second year of a tournament).

Campaing un stuff

Glad to here you enjoyed campaign (you even got a mention on the News headlines

Vicki met Lasoya,? Well I shall have to ask her about this (or was a brief, splattery encounter?).

The problem with the DUPS is that we dont have two of our regulars, and so whether we can get a team up is another question (like, I don't think we can get a team). If you need an extra player for a team or something then I would love to play (I assume I can travel by train if nothing else).

Do u rekon teams can be made up of more than one university, its just that Keith from our nov squad is going cambridge and i just couldnt handle being tagged by him.
Id have to live in a cave for thh rest of my life!

Oh i noticed on the site that you are considering banning electros.
I dont think my Angel LCD will work without the electronic bits

You could always get a train to wrexham Richard, then one of our lot could pick you up and get you to the site.

I'll ask if any teams are short of a body.

As for banning electros at the uni tourny, what a great idea Better yet why not ban anything that shoots more than 6 BPS and make it a pump only tourny

No I don't think that would be a good idea, but stock pirahnas only (but then Vicki wont get to use her Baby! And I wont find out what's wrong with mine now, and Dan will probably have a new toy to break, and Alex's Bushmonster won't be allowed, um... I dont think that'll happen).

One person mentioned they were not happy playing against electros so I just put it up to see what opinion was. Everyone else is for them. There would be no point in banning electros just for one person who has never played a tourney before. It's now up to Dan not me but I think it would be bad for the sport to disallow top level guns.

Electros at the Inter Uni Tourney

I couldn't agree more (despite not owning an electro),

This tournament is partly a chance to introduce university paintball societies to tournament paintball, and lets face it, electros are definitely part of tournament paintball.

Banning them would also mean that electo owners would have to use the site guns which they are not used to, which would put them at an advantage, not the reason for owning your own equipment!

But if I am in a minority, then hey as long as I can use my Cocler I wont complain
