Kit plays a large part in paintball but i personally think that the amount of kit that people have gone through definately out weighs that persons need for simply a gun, mask, tank, loader and suitable clothing. I think i would probably be right in saying around 50% of classifieds users have had more than say maybe 3 guns in one year and to what point?

What i am frustrated about is that maybe if instead of ploughing this money into kit you put more money into playing every weekend for the whole year, rain or shine. People are always saying i want to progress in paintball be the best i can, half these people waste money on kit that they probably dont need.

I understand what your trying to say better now,if peeps spent less on kit then they could play more often,if that was the only cause of the demise fair call but you have to work into that family life and work,which prolly means you couldn't play everyweek.
As for kit I can't really comment,in fact I wouldn't like to summise what everbody else has; I personally have 1 full kit,incl' 1 '05 marker which does me.
Perhaps what you may witness is people actually holding onto their original markers/kit because the re-sale value is pennies,also the got to have this years kit mentality is a part of life it extends to all sports.

Im definately alot more passionate, but there is a tad of anger, not directed at all to anyone in particular. As for the demise of UK paintball im not an indusrty person so i dont walk that walk or talk that talk.

Lets just put it this way becuase this is how i saw it a year or 2 ago. Shiny new guns coming onto the market, lets say at the time i have Shocker maybe, everyone on the forums is talking about how cool and good these new guns are, now instead of spending money improving my game i start to save for one of these new guns. Listen, please don't let this thread swing majorly off topic from a forums idiots list into a debate how the classifeds may or may not have ruined UK paintball. If you fancy it you can create another thread, should be a good discussion.

It'd be interesting to see how someone would post "why was I banned", when he's been banned.

As to posting while banned, they register another account post up a lame excuse for doing whatever they did wrong, or call us all ****s, and we get another chance to smack them down. A win-win situation in my book.

Hmmmm, I voted yes because I think Nige along with many others who have mentioned it is right, something should be done. However, we do have to remember which board we are on and which certain magazine is directly linked, meaning its highly unlikely they will support 'downgrading and dispraising' potential customers/readers. Unfortunately in such a case the consequences for the owners outweigh any form of forum judicial system which is a shame really because any and all consequences should be sanctioned to those who warrant such on reflection of their actions/ behaviour and all out 'knobberness' on here.

LMFAO is that what he posts in every classified thread, tbh I blocked him as the constant posts for pics etc were annoying me as he patently isn't interested in most of the stuff, just likes the sound of his own keyboard.


TBH if people read the sticky at the top of the classifieds section and made proper contact with the people they were dealing with i.e. email addy, house addy, phone number etc., if still unsure, ask for a reference from another forum user, or post up asking for people to vouch then a lot of these problems would be avoided.

As for the spam posters in classifieds, block them on your user cp and/or report the post. Just tell lowballers to p!$$ off, eventually the'll get the message.
