ah i see, althou i actually didnt meen as a tournie field, i ment for team training, a lot of teams like to practice on sup air.....you dont need marshals for a training day you can just charge them for use of the field, maybe for air, sell a bit of paint (maybe) and other than lunch they will pritty much do their own thing, leaving you and your staff to run a 'punter' game along side......has a few advantages
1) 'punters' get to watch what tournie pb is like
2) the teams will fetch friends along who havnt played, knowing that they will get a game whilst they train.
3) takes little space

also if you plan to run walk on days sup air will attract players.

i can see it from the other side, it would cost a bit to set up..i dunno how much a sup air field is BUT if you work on an average team fetching say 10 players to a training day they would be happy to pay for £x to use the field which would be devided amongst them and at an individual level cost little. thus you would get a lot of teams booking and the field would in theory pay for its self.

Reguarding to what jahlad said

I can see what you mean and those tips are very usefull. I heard that a s'up air costs about £4,000 brand new.

The other thing is that i dont know if there are any paintball teams in south wales. That is another one of my goals to help the first paintball team that i know of around my area.

I am just trying to promote the game.

Because the more i promote the more people would come

Benefits me and the sport

lots of ££££££££££££££££££££

is it in door or out door

If your site is gonna have SUP air, indoor would be great to give you a income and insight on the serious of paintball, theres loads of teams that will travel thats if your field is already in place, saves on the teams setting up, so they can train like jalhad said teams really struggle to train so the fee has got to be reasonable shure you will get noticed if you do plenty of market re search.
good luck on your venture:p
We need more SUP AIR

Reguarding to what sephiroth said

I know it could save me thousands but i doughbt that the major comppanys would do that because they would be loosing thousands as well.

I am considering facilities like this but just so that it is warm and out of the rain. I would cost far to much at the beginning to provide facilities like that. Maybe after a few years when i payed off my loans i could do it.

I heard that the spyder is awesome but also i know that the inferno even though you have had bad experiences is a good marker and also cheap to replace. Once i have payed off all my debts then i could look at sexy guns.

please feel free to send anymore of your tips

Thanx

right, i work at a paintball site that has punters twice a weekend and a walkon once a month

first idea is to get good marshalls. get them to go to a UKPSF marshall training day (contact Bully about it) to get them trained well and make them fair.

Makre sure marshalls have bright clothes on so they can be distiguished between trees!!!!!

for gods sake tell the punters NOT to pick balls up off the ground, and tell them not to dry fire. and if they lift their goggles once on field warn them heavily. if they do it again ban them from one game, dont even let them watch

try to have lots of variety for fields, where i work e have 9 games a day, first game is on a normal woodlan field which is capture the flag as a warm up. then we have a russian trench field (basically loads of huge trenches etc) on this there are 4 flags set directly acros the middle of the field and each one is worth 5 points, as soon as it is grabbed by one team and the person that grabbed it is unmarked that team gets 5 points and no more points can be got from that flag unless they take it to the enemies base, if they do this they get an extra 5 points (this is only allowed to happen once) so there is a max of 25 point score. 2nd field, bridge, attack or defend. attackers have to get on a bridge and hit a plunger. a marshall on the bridge checks the guy that hits the plunger, if he is untouched then the marshall sets off a thunderflash and the game is over, 20 points to attackers, if defenders defend the bridge for 15 mins then they get 20 points. a blue rope is down the middle of the field splitting attackers and defenders, defenders are allowed past this onto other side of field, attackers are not, 3rd field, village: lots of huts with loads of holes etc everywhere to shot thru...urban style!!! there is a dummy and a stretcher to find in 2 of the huts (split them up) 5 points for each if they are in possesion of a team at end of game....if one team has both then they take both to other teams base and get a further 5 points. last game, concept: this is set up on an open field and there are lots o man made bunkers everywhere including 2 snakes down each side...each end has one flag and in the middle there is a flag worth 5 points, as soon as middle flag is grabbed by team and it is untouched, that team gets 5 points, aim of game is to get enemies flag to your base for another 10 points, then lunch time...then u do every field over again except the first woodland field

sory to drag on. just giving you an idea of what sites are like

i see what u mean by s'up air.

The site that i intend to create would be outdoor. I know the s'up air would be benificial but i would also have to spend more money.

Once i have got a market then i owuld look for investing in s'up air.

Also as i said i don't think there are many peeps that has a paintball team in my area.

Thanx
