Only if you show off afterwards.......stick to self defence and "I was scared for my life" and you'll walk.
Only takes one "yeah, and I'd do it again, the b*stards" and you show intent to cause harm. Stick with "I never meant to hurt them" and you're sorted. You've a legal right to self defence using reasonable force......( not minimal like the police) this includes dislocating elbows, breaking wrists, throwing into concrete walls and in one case a piledriver . And if you use a weapon, make sure you found it and it was "the first thing that came to hand officer" carrying weapons(even heavy key chains) is a sure fire way of nailing yourself.
Phil, I really have`nt been in a position where I have had to make that choice, but from a sort of neutral perspective the sensible thing to do would be to just leave it.............but thats me.Originally posted by Philip
Gurney, what would be the right thing to do? Call the police and have them come after you again? Letting them get a slap on the wrist by the police isn't going to stop them doing it to someone else.
The personal satisfaction is good too.
But dont do anything because of me, its just the way i've been brought up, in the crappiest place in england.
'A slap' ain't how it works. Even if these people only got a reprimand or a caution, the next time they even fart in the wrong place they'd be back in like a shot and then it would go to court. The point of reporting it is so that the police know what's going on, the public know what's going on and measures are brought about to prevent it happening again.Originally posted by Philip
