How to train your eye?

you could try playing a practice game with your dominant eye covered by a patch, this will force you to use your non-dominant eye,

left eye dominant people shooting a Right handed weapon (SA80), find it easier to shoot targets with their left eye closed, covered to force the use of the non- dominant right eye.. works okay unless you can't see out of the right eye..

Okay, I'll try it out. But before that I'll find some eye specialist who can tell if one can achieve permanent results...
And JohnJ, thanks for that eye dominance test. I think many people will get amazed by test results.

Left eye/ right eye???? i keep both eyes open when firing.
Playin tourney level, you havent really got time to stick your head out and 'aim'.

errmmm.....How do you hit anything if not by aiming at it....

nothing but lucky shots then...

Even if it is quick...
even if it is by some snap shooting technique...

it's still aiming....at least in my head.....

playing/shooting with both eyes open is better, cause you'll be able to see more (i f you have the time).
Covering youre good eye is the trick, however you should do it for a longer period, not just 5 or 10 minutes or so. You can train it, but it is hard!

If you want to work on correcting eye dominance, try covering your dominant eye while you are playing (in training), put a patch over it. Force yourself to use the weaker eye.

Personally with experience you work out where your marker needs to point to hit certain targets, no matter which eye you are using

Alternatively I can recommend the film 'Wings of the Apache' for an excellent sequence oncorrecting eye dominance where Nicholas Cage drives a jeep with a pair of panties and a periscope on his head - don't know if it works, butif you do give it a go may be you could post the pics?

i keep both my eyes open when firing cos when i am i look down through the bolt. if u do this with both eyes, it doesnt focus and gives you vision on both sides of your gun, it also gives you a sort of aimer when it goes out of focus cos there will be 2 barrels and where they join in the center will be the middle of your barrel so its like an aimer
