How to train your eye?

Many players are asking how to learn to shoot ambidextrous. I can do that but my problem is that my left eye dominates, so I must keep my left eye on target which makes me a larger target when shooting from right. Are there any method for eye training or is it just bull**** for pilots?

To me its bull****, cos i fire then use the balls to aim correctly, so i just point and click

No it's not bull****.
Get somebody to take pictures of you when your playing both sides of a bunker and look at the difference in profile.
i'm right eye dominant and have a problem when shooting out left.
I basically make reminding myself to use my left eye part of my routine when playing.
I'm not saying I've got it perfect yet but I'm working on it

Oh, and if you want to find out which is your dominant eye make a circle with your fingers and look at an object through it.
Close your each eye alternately and the one that you can still see the object through is your dominant one - hope this makes sense

So, mental training it is! I can see and point my gun using the right eye, but only when left is shut. So, how about covering your dominant eye during training? Anyone eye specialist reading this?

Hmmm....just thinking aloud....

I just tried closing my dominant (right) eye and pointing across the room (with my right hand, I'm right handed).....

opening it and see where I pointed then...

seemed to me to be about 4 inches off to the right for a distance of 10 feet.

Tried again pointing with left hand with dominant eye closed and then opening it....same result...

So I'm gonna try aiming a bit off to the left when shooting with my left hand next time I'm out...actually never tried that for earnest....

i dont think you fingers thing works johnj i just tried it and it seemed to work but if u use your other hand to make the circle then you get the opposite results ie left hand = right eye dominant and right hand = left eye dominant??

I have a question. I notice to aim down a dove tail I have to close my left eye. So when I am actually playing paintball everytime I shoot my left eye is closed. It seems to work, the people I shoot out are out usually on the third shot. Is it better to aim with both eyes opened? I never see a pro with one eye shut in pictures.
I tried that finger circle trick and it seems that the more mass on one side of my hand the eye on that side looks through it. Both my eyes are equal.

Ok - alternative method.
make the circle again and look at someone through it (both eyes open with the circle about 10" from your face), they should be able to tell you which eye your using.
This method is used by archers to determine the dominant eye.
Hope this works as the only other tips I can give you revolve around beer and memory loss,
