If you went to paris last year, then you would all argee it was the best event, and most well attended by players and spectators alike.

I personally think two events in france was the best move the millennium have made for a long time. It is most central to europe making it easier for teams from all over europe to attend, giving a higher possibilty of the best quilty ball at every Millennium event.

i think if any uk team really wanted to attend a millenium event, forget campaign, get your ass's to Paris or Bitberg.

good luck to everyone at Marseille today..........

Sick of IT!!!!!

You know what...I'm fkn sick of listening to people RANT about English Paintball....sick to the back teeth of it, Wales....Ireland.....Scotland.....you know there are teams in these Countries that make up the UK....but hey, guess we don't count eh!!!!!

As for Mill Series, yeah would be nice to see some more BRITISH teams in there for sure.....maybe in time things will change Chris, I wonder out of interest....if tables were turned how many English Teams would do the travelling we do for local events??

We looked at Doing the first MS this season, but flights from Edinburgh or indeed Glasgow are...let me think..NONE!!!!!!!

You lot have it so much easier with Airports all over the shop, think we had to go to Gatwick or Amsterdam...blah blah blah....what I'm trying to say is we wanted to go, but short of buying our own jet we couldn't. I know the MS look at great locations, but maybe they should consider a few things, flights for example, do easyjet fly there ;)

We did Malaga a few years back, yup, drove to Brum and caught a flight, brilliant....

Ah....right, can of beer down, rant over, yes, English stop whinging about the state of paintball in England and do somethin about it and stop playing on your friggin doorsteps!!!!

I'll be at the PA next weekend....guess I better assume the position!!

Location, Location.
i think the point Chris is trying to make is that, in world and real business terms, no tourney series in this country means jack ****. Supporters (and i use supporters because hardly any teams are really sponsored) would rather you went and repped their company at an international scale because that guarantees a higher exposure of their company and or products.

However we as a country have this mindset, in that we think winning locals makes you famous and a huge asset to your supporters. Whilst the tournaments are (in the main) well run, they really dont mean a lot except to you and yours. Thsi view is only encouraged by in fighting, politics, organisers and players in this country. I've only recently come to realise this myself, and i find it a sad indictment on the state of british balling.

The only way for local tournaments to really become more prominent and therefore worthwhile to british paintball on a world scale would be for the events organisers to unite under one banner and stop trying to get one up on each other all the time and start to work together. Encouraging teams to step it up a gear and start training more and attending tournaments overseas on the scale of the milleniums etc would be another phase.

There are three types of paintball teams:

Those who wish to succeed and be the best.
Those who play for fun
Those who think that beating down in DIV1 every tourney makes them one of the best teams in the country.

team a will lose games, learn from it and get on with learning and applying the knowledge gained and use it in international tourneys.

team b will enjoy themselves no matter and thats a good thing for them

team c will do well for a while playing locals, until the first team come back, decide to play a local and decimate this team and show them what they could of had.

I dont have a problem with any of these types of teams. You play paintball for your reasons and i play for mine. But i think what chris is trying to say is that it would be nice if we could have more team a's in this country.
