How do we expect to get better as a nation

Just looking at MS website to see which teams are coming to France for the 1st MS of the yr .

What a pi ss poor turnout there is

CPL 16 = 3 UK teams

DIV 1 ,39 teams = 6 UK Teams

DIV 2,31 teams = 3 UK teams

DIV 3,27 teams = 1 UK team !!!!

M5,30 teams = 1 Team


In total there is around 143 teams at this event . so we have 10% of teams there ,so go figure why are most the teams in this counrty full of sh it and dont wanna put the hard graft in to there teams.

so why are there so many teams out there that not even making the effort to go .........or are these teams just happy in there own little pond !!!!

Not that I disagree with the sentiments that most british players are whingers who do **** all to help their own cause, but I think you're being a little harsh in terms of the percentage of UK teams making the effort....60-odd teams in attendance are French, as you'd expect, and only Germany has a higher turnout than the UK, which you also might expect.

I wouldn't really expect teams in D3 or M5 to travel any great distance as these are newbie leagues - I'd imagine teams will play the leg in their own country for the experience, but otherwise you could do far more with the resources it would cost to attend an out-of-country Millennium event if you stayed at home and trained...that argument possibly holds for D2 too.

Plus Copenhagen Ducks are almost a UK team...but then Nexus are a South African one so I guess they cancel each other out.

I would love to take my team over to Marseille, but for us right now, training is far more important. The amount of money we would spend on this event would be better used drilling til we bleed.

The cost for a number of my younger players, this early in the year is simply prohibitive. We still aim to represent in three milleniums this year, but i think you speak from a rather privelidged (sp) position.

Most have trouble getting organised for Campaign.

Then there's all that water in the way. Which historically, we only cross if there's a war on and our Navy's is not a big as it used to be: Ditto for the RAF for flying over it

Which only leaves the Tunnel which is a long walk as you wont get on a train for all the Asylum seekers.

I completley agree with you on this div 3 and M5 are there for the teams that want to dip there toe in playing a major event.
but if u look at CC cup last yr i dont think there was that many english d3 teams playing it last yr .

I think long term there is more teams practicing now then there ever was ,teams now understand a little more,that playing 20 games at practice is much better than 7 games at "horse sh it 5 man"

I just want english paintball to get better ,this aint ever going to happen over night , but with out teams traveling and gaining the experience abroad .

maybe i am just grumpy that i have to leave my house at 12 tonight to get to london for 4 to catch a plane for 7 .

This was not ment to be a personal attack on any team , i respect the fact that any team that makes the time to practice is a good thing for english paintball.

How many teams really train , i mean really train , not spending 5 mins doing a drill ,then not going back to it for another 4 weeks cuz they have mastered that one

If anyone wants to talk to my parents and persuade them to let me go abroad with people they dont even know be my guest, yeah i could afford a couple of Milleninums a year and it would be great but being rather young doesnt help , Yes England on a whole does need to improve its attendance at Millennium events but really how? I think you will find many teams have substantial problems with money, certain players being to young, work, school to get off (and that aint easy), ect.

Im just stating that its pretty hard and pointless for some teams
