its not so much a phenomenon thers only a few people
for the hk guys ball is their lives....well most of it, the training, the tournaments etc, its much more than the majority of people in this thread can imagine
a couple of hk players and members are coming over to play campaign this year, go ask them yourselves,
the euro hk supporters are looked after well by the americans, but in the end its all a bit of fun tht brings a few ppl over here and in europe together from time to time
nothing serious....its not like ppl swear by them...jules foote seems a bit of a nob to me....no hero worship ther !

Thanks to Spankster and Tom9 for responding amongst the piling on. I'm still not quite sure anyone has answered by questions but I appreciate the replies--some of them anyway.

Tom9 (or anyone else)--part two answered as to your age. Part one--is it mostly the idea then of paintball as life you see the whole hk thing as representing? If so, does it bother you at all that there are hordes of bandwagon jumpers who claim the same affiliation but obviously it goes no further than their next post on some pball forum? Lastly, what do think will become of most of the real hk'ers when they are say, 25 or 30 years old?

doesnt bother me when ppl jump on, generally if they do then they tend to learn stuff and ball with the other hk support or something and in the end contribute somehow
as for the hk players when they are 25- 30 i reckon they wil realise how much money they dont have, how knackered they are.....and how they REALLY need a real job but i bet they still ball it up

Having paintball as a way of life would be good, but as you said Tom, it costs too much! I'd love to play as often as I liked, but then I'd also like to be able to eat 14 packs of crisps a day and a 6 pack of pasties and not put on weight. I don't understand where they get the money from.

The bandwagon question isn't about peeps who actually play but about the hordes of online wannabes who just talk the talk and incidentally buy the stuff and do the whole agg thang.
As to the 10 years on question it wasn't my intention to imply anything negative, simply curious as to what you thought.
