What you should be having is not common salt which is sodium based
but lo-salt which is potassium based and therefore better for you
Try drinking Dioralite or something similar these things are great for replacing the essential salts and vitamins you loose or require for exercise and it stops you getting the shakes after an intense session in the gym, i swear by the stuff after deadlifts and before footy on a morning.
Just be sure to steer away from the stuff with laxative in, otherwise you'll be skidding around in the wrong areas
On the day that you paintball Don't just drink water because when you sweat you lose water and salt. So maybe have a bag of crisps before/after your water or you could drink a powerade as that has the same ration of water:salt as the body Which is ideal for replacing all the sweat.
