3. Just nice crisp contrasts. White on black or vise versa are clearest....but a bit dull I guess
4. link buttons on the left and duplicated in a nav bar at the bottom of each page. every page should be accesible from every other if at all possible.
5. As long as the site has the right info its much more important to get it quickly than to have nice colours and graphics. So, fast and simple.
