I agree with steroberts, the Ion is a cracking gun, especially for the money - eleccy gun for under 190 quid new which fires at 17bps - now come on - thats not bad and with ups they are pretty good! there are still some gats going for same money which wont fire anywhere near as quick!!

Back to the thread - steroberts is bang on with the sequence - dunno whats going on with yours - did you get it wet or is the board shorting out on something in the grip? check you aint got a screw or something rattling around in it causing intermittent shorts! If all else - send it for a service and once over

Hmmm...

well sort of - any small push of the button will switch between eyes on/off - it only switches off when you keep it pressed in

I hope its like that anyway - or mine was buggered

you cant change it on or off ramping with just the push of a button else that would be stupid .

OH and im having the exact problem with my ion, i turn it on and it fires (fast) the it just doesnt fire, so i turn eyes off and its ok? Anybody shed any light?

when u pull the trigger does it make a kinda hissing sound?, as if its trying to fire but cant? anyway try checking the input pressure and turning it down a bit or try changing the battery, they usually work

Taken from the Manual

When you turn on the Ion, the red light inside the on/off switch (green for UK circuit boards) will
begin blinking rapidly. This indicates your Ion is on, in Vision mode and ready to fire. This is the ideal
mode for game play.
If you tap the switch once more, the light will blink more slowly, in a double blink sequence.
This means that the eyes are off, but the Ion will still fire. This is the desirable mode for degassing
and testing.
If the light blinks slowly, one blink at a time, the eyes are on, but you have an obstruction in the
chamber. To remedy this, place the Ion into the eye off mode, clear the obstruction, then tap the
on/off switch once more to place the Ion back into Vision.
All other light indicators are covered in the CIRCUIT BOARD SETTINGS/ADJUSTMENT section.
