yup, it was in very neat writing at the bottom of the screen and you could make out what team was what with the team shirt colours. A bit like how it would be at a big football game. Was a bit blurry, but with the sound and the snake cam, I thought it made a decent combination. The main cam was two cameras joined together. The picture was sort of concave so you could see the whole field (or is that convex?)

BUT, like I say it was up and down. Probably from all the people watching it.

you couldnt tell what person was who, but it did ( in the afternoon) start to say on the webcam on the screen which 2 teams were on the field which was good, and you could here the announcer saying what end the teams where at, but telling the indivdual player , no chance,

The extra camera which was on the snake was good as it was alot closer to the action.

The web cams in itself are a great idea, they did have lots of problems with it at this event , supposed to be up friday but didnt until the pro games on the saturday. They also should have a dedicated commentator i think so the people watching know whats going on, during the games you could here the people in the tower talking about what birds they had picked up the night before, will has an eye for the married ladies ;)

So the moral of the story is...

Incidentally, the results I'm looking at indicate Nexus (And the other Euros) won't make semis, but still a darned good showing. (well, at this second, it's still technically possible for Joy to make it)
Pete did say about uk teams not getting in the top 5! So he was right.

congratulations to Tigers and Nexus (and Joy too... go euros)

it's good to see these getting decent results, especially while playing such strong competition all weekend.

Is it simply uninteresting for the PB media folks or the event organizers to set a priority to reporting major events?

A live pay-for-viewing Webcam from the pro field is a step in the right direction--if it worked (Did it? Past experience showed very low quality and no way to know who was playing.)

As has been said many times before, all it takes is someone with a mobile phone over there and someone on this side to post results. I'd be glad to volunteer if I could put together a way to cover the expenses.
The problem is, all of the paintball media outlets are poor and understaffed. In most cases, the person taking the photos is also doing the reporting. It's possibly a job worse than reffing. There just isn't enough time to do it all.

Nonsense. What you really mean is there isn't enough time to hang out, party, enjoy the event and do the job you supposedly went there to do in the first place. Spring for a decent wireless hook-up and use digital cameras, perfectly adequate for online display anyway, and it's not only no hardship it's simple.
It gets tougher when you're doing all the above and playing, too. Ahem, 26. :p :)
