Has the market died?

Surely the two go hand in hand. Brand new PM6's have reduced to £450 so why buy above for £550 which is second hand.
Exactly, the industry is in a downturn, companies and shops are discounting new guns to the point where the secondhand market is getting whacked...plus the forums are quieter since our enforced break.

It's all cyclical, the indsurty and the classies forum will pick up again.

Because they are not the same gun, hence the price difference. They aren't disimilar but the comparrison can't be made. Besides, it was meant to be an example of how such decent guns and other volumes of grear are not moving at the moment rather than a debate/comparrison of guns thread. It feels muted and I was curious as to why.

Personally speaking i love the Ion, and the reduced PM6 and whatevers next. Bring it on. Because, lets say (for arguments sake only) you lose 50% value for second hand products. I'd rather lose 50% on a £200 marker than 50% on a £1000 marker. Makes economical sense to me. Just waiting for when we can all afford Ego's etc because brand new shelf price has reduced to £600, £500.................;)

Surely the comparison can be made and is spot on - why buy Gun A second hand if Gun B new is £100 cheaper and ostensibly the same marker?

Decent guns aren't moving cos they are overpriced in comparison to new guns at the moment, due to the aforementioned factors.

They're not the same but are very similar. My point is, his marker will take longer to sell because a person who may overwise have bought it previously to price reduction, may well buy a brand new PM6 instead.(hence quieter second hand market, you can't still have your cake after you've eaten it).

Anyway, slight diverse of the thread. It has had some positive effects having your forum down for a while. There was no end of the comments on my local paintball site forum about what was going on, when would it be back up and so on. Up until then i'd not heard of it. So i'm sure there will be lots of extra people joining, like me, giving you all the benefits of my wit, charm, experience, intelligence................................................. All with the correct amount of modesty and integrity!!!!!!!!! :D

I can't wait to see some examples of this alleged wit, charm, experience and intelligence....and as for modesty and integrity, I'm afraid I've monopoised those particular virtues in this forum.

Welcome aboard anyway, my name's Pete ......... and let me give you some well meant advice.
Don't piss off any mods, especially supermods, ignore everything Borckdorff writes, laugh at everything Baca writes, treat as a profound truth everything I write ...and then we'll all get along fine :)
Have fun, it's one big happy family .......... most of the time :)
