I was merely engaging in some subtle sarcasm but as you ask--
1--sounds to me like you've got the technique down (unless you're not using it palm out) and the rationale, as well.
2--could take that quote a couple of ways but Nudge clearly read it as more or less an admission and advocation of wiping as did Rancid, Duffistut and Piper.
If they all took it in a way you didn't mean ("this is a bad thing to do but here's how and why you do it") then others could just as easily and we all know how quickly rumor and innuendo spread amongst ballers--particularly when it's in black and white on a public forum.
So what will players think? If those guys figure that wiping is just part of theirs and everyone else's game we know what to expect from their teams, right? Instant bad rap.
Unless, of course, you're AfterShock or one of the handful of well known 'bad boys' in Paintball. Then, apparently, it's okay. [That would be more sarcasm, btw]
