all being said, i will say that IF a ball breaks in a Halo, which can happen if using tourney paint, and a player jolts the hopper too hard.
It is an absolute nightmare to clean them. Not only do you have to strip them all the way, but the wiring in them is fiddly to get back in position to close the case. AND if you take out the feeder wheel things, you have to make sure you seat it Perfectly back on the spring, and with the spring in exactly the right place in the hopper.

All in all, it took one of smartparts' best US gunteks, near an hour to do.
nightmare

And if you don't break a ball in your hopper, which hasn't happened to me yet over 10 tourneys and practices they are the sweetest thing ever! :D :D :D

Iused a Halo at the Cup and it was great aprt from when i was getting a string of shots up every 4th shot dropped, i did get wdp to look at it and they seem ed to think that the halo was pushing the balls through but then my lpr was well out (all fixed ) all ok now but just to be sure i asked odessy about the problem and they reccomended a LOW rise from Evil paintball AND to reset the dwell to 17 (the bonus with the low rise from evil is that they are the right size for Halo's without grinding the neck down plus when tightened they will also fit the other hoppers out there)

I did a side by side comparission witha halo and a revvy with evil paddles and x-board and although I haven't had an issue with the revvy it did miss a couple of balls and was well slower than the Halo

Something totry if you have gone with the Evolution(new or old type) is to put skateboard grip tape on the lid to help with the opening of the lid saw an entire team who had done that plus a few idividuals as well.

The evlution mark 1 and 2 has a downward hinged lid with grooves in it to allow you to grip the lid, but as it is smooth plastic your hand can slip so strips of skateboard grip tape applied in strips or one big piece on the lid will stop your hand slipping when you try to open the lid (note this will only work on this type of hopper due to the direction of the lid opening)

Expensive too, but you do get whole load of extras on that screen thing.

Not nearly fast enough though
