Matski, there used to be a rule that if when playing you thought your gun had gone hot through no fault of your won that you could call yourself out with a hot gun and not face any further penalties.

But it had to be before a judge came up to you... and while the game was still in progress... not just after you maxed them lol :)

I don't think it still exists though.

So how do you decide who is intentionally infringing safety rules and who is not. If your gonna ban players for a whole season youve got to be pretty damn sure!

Hey Nick doesn't that put anyone who uses a Max flow into difficulties :)

hehehe just kidding with you.

But a lot of equipment was not designed to be adjusted on field but is remarkably easy to do so.

Obviously the intentional ones under your description that get caught should be hung by the balls, but also those that use normal equipment and intentionally alter the velocity should be included... How do we capture and prove such cases?

Maybe a roaming video marshall... You'd be amazed at the footage I've seen showing people cheating in all sorts of ways. I expect Nial has some interesting stuff from Campaign also. In fact anywhere that paintball has been filmed...

Isnt there a rule which allows a player, if they are pulled for chrono at the end of a game, to declare their marker hot and as they have declared it they are then excused of further penalty points? Someone enlighten me on this...
Ok then I think this is the rule you are all talking about

Now all sets of rules i have seen have this rule in one form or another but here i will just quote the rule from the european indoor but there mostly alike.

During a game,if a player suspects that his marker is shooting over the allowed velocity limit,He may call himself out, And must tell the marshal why he is doing so.

Any player who uses that rule will not be penalised , unless he calls himself out in the following circumstances :

1 When a referee has called for a velocity check.

2 When the game is virtually or effectively over.

3 When he has already been eliminated for any other reason.

I hope that clears it all up for you lot.

need to get hold of Tank for an exit
I must be a really pants player- there's no way I ever have time to mess with my markers mode or velocity on field - I didn't even notice that I'd been "hand-chronied" at Campaign Cup last year - had to be told about it!

As for the accuracy of the little yello things, they can't be as bad as the table top red things.

At the first year of the indoor all three chronies were reading different (consistantly) - one of the field chronies was around 15 fps higher IIRC.

CANNOT be tampered with.

People who are found to INTENTIONALLY shoot unsafe markers, should be banned for a year, for risking other peoples eyesight on purpose !

Nick

ok m8,, what if ur marker is doing, say, 270-290, then during game for some reason ur marker is going over 300, and u get a spot check, 310 or something. u go to the chrono judge, and it still reads 300+ u dont know what is wrong, and u know that u thought it was under 300, but rules r rules,, so ur band from a year,, that would suck BIG time, now how would u feel???

i think a fine would be alot better or a ban for the day.

what u guys think
