oh come on mate, if the rules say nt alteration or cutting then apply this to "flex 8 with the hard plastic bit at the top cut off". Officialy no, your not allowed it, its not that hard to grasp :)
just a wonder ... alot of people do it and seem to get away with it. Must only be the parts that severely affect the safety of the mask.

i.e. lense clips removed or cut down or areas that are going to effect the protection of the mask or weaken the mask.

ok..............this is where the inexperiance of equipment on a ref level comes in.......
.....lets say a player approaches a ref with a goggle that is modified ......but the ref doesn't know about the goggle system itself and therefore doesn't notice if its been modded.....this is when the player right from the start should have read the instructions of the goggle and seen that it says "do not remove or modify any part of this goggle system"

thats when youll go through many tournaments with cut goggles and all of a sudden you meet a ref like me and he'll clock your goggles ....

JT at the world cup 05 sold a, get this "ref friendly" ear pieces for those who had cut the ear piece down and been told to change thier goggles

The uk ref have now understood that product knowlege is just as important as rules and is sending refs like myself to companys to keep us up on current guidlines including markers and other paintball products

is painting a mask fine then if its just one colour
and also any one know if placticote spray paint is any good im after sprayins some flex 8 bottoms
Plasticote seems to be fine, i did about 7 layers with 20mins inbetween. Let it rest overnight, then did about 10 coats of clear laquer again with 20 min rests. Yet to use them, but i'm pretty sure they'll be fine, i'm playing on sunday so if you want i can pm you about them. No flaking as yet aswell. As long as you've got the protective laquer i can't see them chipping/flaking :)
