Did u say u got it done at a football-top printing place, or a normal printers? Like, when I ring up places to ask if they'll do it, do I need to ask for a special kind of printing?
Sports shops that do football top printing. thats the best bet.

Jeevus - i thought you were gonna come down to play "Hunt the Howard"???

Do the larger chain shops do it, or do I have to look out for the smaller independent ones? Not having any luck so far... :(
Where I had mine done was a tiny little independant sports shop hidden away in one corner of MK shopping centre. and the Jakeman Sports that Billy was talking about earlier in the thread is also a small sports shop.

On the whole, the larger shops will only do lettering on their own shirts. Officially, this probably has something to do with liability for damaging the shirt (reasonable enough, polyester melts very easily, and the dye printing discolours with heat). Actually it's probably that they just want to shaft you for another £30 for one of their shirts. But I don't want to play in a Man U shirt

The place I got it done in the end, the guy behind the counter looked both ways to make sure there were no managers around, and probably pocket the £3 I gave him for it. Suits me, I got my shirt printed when most shops had turned it down, I don't really care who gets the cash for it.

Is the quality on yours good?

I got it from a shop on Tottenham Ct Rd that I shouldn't name, to protect the staff member in question :) But no, the quality isn't great, although I don't think it'll crack, peel or wash off in a hurry. They're the slightly felty-feeling letters, not the glossy transfers you often get. Can't complain for 3 quid, but next time I'll get a custom printed shirt from the outset.
