Get well from all at Team Apocalypse.

This does sound very tragic, and if someone has been negligent then take the buggers to court!

I know from first hand experiance what it's like to attend a tourney and then end up in hospital for 5 days after, and it must be 10x worse if your in another country.

Keep your spirits up fella! You'll soon be home!

The Air in Toulouse was operated on a new system. basically you connected the hose as normal then pushed a little button to start the fill. When you had finished the filling, you let go of the button and then took off the hose. The problem was that the system did not fill itself slowly, the pressure was right up there behind the button and when you pressed the button the bottle was filled as fast as ever. My Air system blew up in the middle of a game, and the elbow from my angel air hit the marshal on the tape. He was about thirty feet away from me! Sack the AIR fillers ASAP!

This type of flash filling is completely unacceptable! Now I've not heard the facts other then whats in the thread regarding Iain, but related or not this is not the way to fill our air bottles. Somthing has to be done NOW about these guys cos in my experiance (ok only 2 milleniums) they don't have a clue what they are doing or the dangers involved!

flash filling is probably not the direct cause of this problem. It's more likely a creeping regulator. I'm somewhat of an expert on blowing up hoses and fittings, and luckly i've never had a serious injury.

However the flash filling may have indirectly been responsible as it puts a lot of pressure on the valves that isn't necessary. The air system in Toullouse wasn't good enough. They obviously shelled out some cash to get the new system put in, but it still isn't right.
HPAC's self serve valve system is the best system i've seen. HPAc for president! WOOT!

i might add that i never got more than 4000 psi this weekend due to bottles filling hot, and not enough pressure in the battery tanks!
