Is this what forums are for or what !!!!

Just want to back what has been said on this thread !!!

But also make a serious point - if you draw on all the players in an area - put together the vast amount of experience and talent you have in your area - and then use that to build a team to represent the sport and the area - is'nt that going to naturally give you a far stronger team than one made up of a group of friends who fancy playing a tournament every now and then.

Think about it logically - by developing strong area / regional squads you are naturally increasing the level of play in the U.k domestic scene. Suddenly you have structured Sports Clubs - with management, coaches and captains running the team / squad. Suddenly the team needs a Marketing / PR function to ensure it is constantly in the limelight and attracting the right attention. Training / recruitment become vital to the continued growth of the team.

Develop this concept further - and you have 60 teams like this playing in a league - all representing their respective areas or towns - then how interested do you think sponsors and the media will be ???

This is the direction our sport needs to go - not the fractured situation we currently have where it is an exception to be successful - not the rule.

Being in a team is partly compromise, If I had my way, we'd play a handful of domestic tournaments 3 poss 4 Millenniums and a US event each year. The rest of the time spent on drilling, scrimmaging and having the whole team maintaining a high level of physical fitness. Playing tough competition and training is the only way to improve. This is how the UK game should be structured and developed. This also means teams have to attract players from a wide area, hence making a geographical association a bar to team skill development in (some not all cases).
Hmm Stongl,

Well, I thought I'd closed this one, but anyway I asked for time off to go but could'nt have it because of new clients coming on board.

I did add compromise!!!!!!!!!!

Although I still believe we should look to at leats one US tourney next year, can't let Panic Attack get all the UK AmB glory can we.;)
