anybody have any views on UKIP ?
I love a lot of what they are saying.

Im not too bothered about the EU. Its a total waste of money, corrupt and undemocratic.
So is our own Government so we should focus on the local problem first.

But they have some other excellent policies:
A flat rate of tax.
Reform of most services to remove the beurocracy and complication.
Solving the energy gap by building real power stations rather than wasting money on renewables.
Re thinking the smoking ban.
Re thinking the so called war on drugs.
Either sending our armed forces out ready and equipped or not sending them at all.
Basicly just letting the people get on with their lives without the government being in control like big brother.

They have so many good ideas. Its refreshing to see some sense in politics.
But they arent and wont be the encumbant who has to follow through with their ideas.

That makes their position easier but means they wont get my vote even though I love farage and the other bloke.
Entertaining video below.

Posh fascists, they are like the tories and BNP mashed up together.
Seems you know nothing.

They arent racist, are nothing like the BNP and most importantly they are made up of real businessmen, economists, who could run the country very well if it came to it (which it wont).

The conservatives dislike them because they want europe too. (because ultimately all career politicans vote for bigger governments)

Unlike the Champagne socialists, Labour and Lib Dem, UKIP arent afraid to say what actually needs doing.

They are the second most popular european party as decided by the British people in a democratic vote. Which they managed to acheive without the false promises, populist publicity and TV which Labour and Lib Dem focus on so much.

Labour didn't **** up our economy they were just unfortunately the ones in power when the **** hit the fan and now have to deal with the back lash
Ah so they didnt hand over Bank regulation from the Bank of England to the tick in a box beurocrats at the FSA? In order to make this whole thing possible. (google Tripartite system)
Because I thought that was one of Gordon Browns first acts as chancellor.

Gordon didnt lose ten billion dollars gambling with our gold bullion?

They didnt relax the rules on Mortgage lending?

They didnt introduce school league tables which skewed the property market so much that houses were selling at many times their real value.

I must have imagined all that then.

there is an element of UKIP (not all by any stretch) that are decidedly dodgy, a lot of extreme right wing ex-tories have found their homes there. The rest are just a bit mental and occasionally quite funny.

here's a prime example (not a funny one though):

See this is the problem.

Our failed Government is making people very angry.
So the politically naive turn to scapegoat parties like the BNP as their way of protesting.
lets face in Labour has Screwed us up.
Conservatives always take us back to 1800.
that leaves the BMP. they have alot of great policys. and a few terrible ones. best of a bad bunch.

and yes i had a typo get over it.

That is dodgy and part of the reason Im not going to vote for them.
At least UKIP are swift to get rid of the idiots unlike Labour who just keep them around like a bad smell.

Im also completely against UKIPs temporary blanket ban on immigration.
Not from a PC point of view but because I appreciate immigrants, skilled and unskilled contribute to our country and our economy.

Lets face it the lazy scapegoat finders like DJForbes wont do a good job cleaning toilets or packing boxes, compared to your average Polack.

Another point is that its easy to make promises the further away you are from fulfiling them.
Thats why Labour are so good at making promises, they know everybody forgets about them.
