most teams use their own codes or a variation of codes that they 'borrow' from other teams.
why the letter g is used ive no idea but break the field down in to strips with g1 being back left g3 being back centre and g5 being back right

g1 g3 g5

ok these are the most commonly used called, as obviously they are primarys that the other team will break to.

if a bunker is here

g1 g3 g5

x

i would be at g2 ten....ie in between g1 and g3 and on the 10

by the same rules the centre bunker could also be called g3 fifty.

make sence?

edit: mmm cant seem to get the spacing right on the diagram

other common codes are

mirror - your mirror is the bunker in the same position as yours on the other side of the field so if i was stood in back left my mirror would be the back left as i look down the field

opposite - your opposite is the bunker opposite yours on field, so i was back left my opposite would be in the corner diagonal to mine, ie back right

center - dead simple its the bunker in the middle of the field, usually the one with the flag on it and where the bunker monkeys break out to!

codes for different sort of bunkers - coke cans, tea bags, wing nuts .....just basic descriuptions of the shapes of the bunkers.

complex - a group of bunkers usually touching each other

hot - a bunker that is hot is one that has an opposition player in it

what ever works best for your team really...but above all else keep it simple...you dont want to have to sit there trying to decode stuff when you should be shooting fools

I heard XSV using "POISON!!" so when an opposing player is moving on one of your team mates, an attempted mugging etc, they screm an should that to try an get some attention!

But using the G1, G2 etc is pretty common in the UK aswell as the states...

My old team had a few strange codes such as

Engaged - Loading
Married - Gun problem but fixable
Divorcerd - Gun fixed
Pregnant - Gun totally down and your screwed:D

As far as I know I'm the only paintballer who has screamed out that he was pregnant while playing paintball:(

Team mate was demanding an abortion. Not politically correct but funny as hell:D

Put the other team off too;) :p
