how blatently full auto is that! Yes it may be a special effect sort of thing for a site but does anyone know if a site can legally own one of these beasts?
about 2 years ago i bought my first marker from there (stupidly). It was a spyder and came with the full auto bit. As a noob at the time i didnt know about buying full auto markers and as the site obviously had no inclination to tell me about the law, i guess i cudda got into trouble but i did find out bout the laws on markers. I threw the full auto bit away and sold it on later as semi-auto.

I dont mean to be outta order but that company really does suck.
After i found out i complained via email... i never got a response.

a guy came to our site the other day with a Spider Fenix (quite obviously brand new, although i didnt ask him where he got it from), annoyingly for the marshalls at hand it was capable of 3 and 6 shot bursts along with f/a. to my knowledge the marshall let him use it for the day aslong as he left it on semi.

didnt agree with it but didnt say anything......guess i shouldve now.

And to Paint Marine: That's a great idea but probably wouldn't work in practice - people shouldn't need to be blocked from viewing certain websites (freedom of speech) - They should just know that fully auto is illegal, full stop.

Look, this is getting way out of proportion............ yes, any marker can be made full auto by doing something to it.be it software, modification or part switching....... my point was just to warn newcomers to the sport not to buy a "full auto enabled" marker. There is no debate..... if it's full auto then it's illegal, that's the simple message. The rest of this is overcomplicating stuff. It's only an offence if you have all of the bits in place to make it full auto......... and hopefully most of us know better. It's a bit like saying "any marker can be lethal" by the simple addition of a bayonette under the barrel............ yes it can be done, but we know it's illegal, so we don't...... there ya go. This thread was only aimed at those who didn't realise full auto was illegal in the UK.

And paint marine....... full auto is banned, it's illegal to import them, sell them or own them. Just like selling cigarettes to under 16's , drink to under 18's etc... just cos it's the law, doesn't make them pay attention to it. It's one of those laws that' pretty much ignored, so it only catches up to players when they show up at a reputable field and get told their marker is no good.

Just got this response, I've removed the address etc....

hi
we mainly supply into Europe all the markers we supply have the JE30b lock switch removed what the person who buys this marker then dose with it then is upto them, also note the vast majority of electronic paintball markers are capable of full auto its just a case of tweaking the marker, i suggest that you inform the person using the gun with full auto enabled of your concerns as it is only a site recommendation that you don't use full auto not law, i fully agree with what you are saying but if a person is over the age of 18 they are entitled to buy which ever marker they want as probably you did.
currently there are no laws regarding the use or sale of paintball markers ourselves we stick to the same rules as air rifles as this is the current closest we have but roll on the new laws as we will welcome them with open arms
Regards

WTF?
site recommendation not law? no laws regarding paintball markers? well there are............ the firearms act.

No need to name anyone.... it's not been done deliberately (in fact this particular case has been put down to a factory error). But there is obviously some confusion here.
