i played joy with my tanel shoes and they gripped perfectly...they have many small and not so small plastic blades in the bottom so they grip to every surface except concrete and such very nice!

DYE CLEATS are the nuts! comfortable and durable, and they look wicked too. Have worn them all year on the astro in Sweden, M25's and they have never let me down, (portugal doesnt count as i was up to my waist in mud!)
obviously astro trainers are the ideal, blade boots survive, but i believe crystal palace maybe a water based astros as most new and topclass are,so astros still work, you will slide well, it doesnt rip off your skin like sand based but all your stuff will get wet, so remember your electric stuff will need drying out or sealing well.
