Is it a waste of time for pballers, or do any of you actually bother? If so, what kind of physical training do you do, and how do you think it benefits your game? And don't write 'drinking beer', because it's not even vaguely funny...

Well, I do work out.
I lift weights, I run (short sprints mostly), but most of my training routine is based on what I used to do, so it's not paintball specific, although I do find that it helps my game. After all, it's good to be fast on the short dash from bunker to bunker, and to have the arm strength to hold your marker up for longer periods of time. Plus the ladies luuuuuv a big, strong man. :D

No paintball specific training, just lots of running machine work, bit o weights and lots of horse riding. Its not so that I can get fit for balling, but the number of beer guts at tournaments has scared me into working out more.

Weights, Weights Weights... My goal is to be like Robbo and Buddha...LOL Not really! I actaully do a lot of cardio and sprints. Plus some weights to include legs for quick burts of power for take offs. I took some of, was it Tyger's article on speed? Pretty much applied it to my work out. All that cardio is for endurance thru out the day!

typical day: Broken out through out the day around 200 push-ups. I usually run to class, and I try to do at least 100 situps. OK, the only reason I do stuff like that is I am a freshman at a military school. Now when I get recognized (which means not being treated like crap) I have usual set schedule.

Lift weights and sprint Tuesday and Thursday. Run (3-5 miles)and do calisthentics (pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups). Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I work out for about an hour to an hour and half at time. I try to get all major muscle groups worked out on the days I lift weights. I am not trying to get frickin huge like Robbo, I am more for the cut, David-esque physique. Also being 7,258 feet above sea level helps. It makes my oxygen intake more effecient. When I go down to normal sea level I can run forever and recover from my break outs quick like.
