I dont recomend Ions AT ALL, At the site I work at, newcomers to the sport are forever bringin them damn things to the armoury to have fixed, there're less reliable than spyders! And the on/off/eye button? that things designed to burst blood vessels in you'r thumb! (i know you can upgrade it) My suggestion: Any tippmann, second or first(but check it all out first, if 2nd hand) or an angel, best go for something from the Speed series, simple-switch on-shoot. Squaddie gun, my tipe of shooter...

And, yeah, C02 is only good for puttin out fires. Keep it well away from Electronic Markers, as they tend to cause the Board to freeze up.

Happy hunting.

Do u hang them next to the SA80's

And less reliable than spyders....just....dont be so stupid.

The only problem people have with on / off buttons is that on the standard board you get no chirp to say the board is on so people press them too hard thinking nothings happening.

At the end of the day ion's rock, i know it, you know it, even the ion haters know it.

To start off with you couldnt find a better gun

I do hang em nxt to the SA80, yeah!
they're good when they're wokin, as most markers are, but the reliability is pants, since Christmas, iv had at least ten-fifteen people come to me complaining about them, you get what you pay for...

And I hate that on/off button!!!!!!

Ouch!

And theres nothing wrong with the reliability with ions ask any of the tigers that.

''you get what you pay for...''

True, but your paying peanuts for a amazing marker

Bah, Humbug!
Im sure the Tigers know how to use thier shooters, but we're talkin about a newbie, im sure he doesnt want to fiddle with the internals of the things! A5's are way more reliable. I am speaking from experience as well.

Whats there to fiddle with, the internals of the ion are simple.

And no doubt these newbies you refer too have prob done something wrong to the marker for it not to work.

oh and if you do hang them next to SA80's you must work on a very weird site

My point proven! we were discussing the best marker for a newbie to start off with (before the debate) and plainly, people mess with thier shiney new Marker. i still recomend ANY tippmann, they are the AK47 of the paintball world, and, oh, i hung my SA80 up ages ago, wasnt alowd to scrap it....

i dont see hoe your point is proven 'cos if you mess with any marker enough it wont work.

At the end of the day for a newbie who is looking to get into toureny side the ION is best.

Rec'ball side of things yeah a tippmann
