Don't mean to be rude but just because a paper is delivered "free" it doesn't mean the advertising is "free". In London, to get a 1 or 2 page spread in a free paper you'd probably be looking anywhere between £6 - £10,000.

And why? As manike says - To attract more thieves. Of course this isn't the intention of the advertising but it's always going to be the result. Alright, you'll get the "real" interested people but there'll always be "dodgy" characters as well. There were already weird looking kids hanging around desperate to catch us leaving our kit bags lying around so they could see what they could nick - and they have absolutely no use for the stuff.

The venue was excellent though and who'd have thought we'd have a paintball tourney in the middle of London? Maybe there are no benefits to having it in the middle of London though. Perhaps somewhere accessible but less well known that we can descend upon?? Brighton is nice - i was at mayhem a couple of years ago and it was great - but what a long drive for the people up north !! Let's think about the poor scottish teams as well - jeeze - some of them have four hours to drive before hitting England !!

Maybe we need to be looking at somewhere "properly central".

Nope actually. It's not far from me, but it's quite a serious suggestion. :D

The area has lots of open grasslands. It's a beautiful place well known with tourists so we might get more visitors from abroad. And it's well capable of providing accomodation and entertainment for the paintballing masses. You would also get lots of walkby traffic. You would be able to see the RSC from where you play (although thankfully not shoot the building...)

What you guys are saying is all fair and valid.
We've outgrown Crystal Palace, and although the venue looks awesome, it sucks for hosting a paintball event.
What we need is a flat field in a park 275 x 300 m and the whole thing can be enclosed, the players area can be totaly sealed from the public, but the the public can watch from the other side of the field.

There's two thoughts here, one is make paintball public, make it spectator friendly.
the second, (and my view) is make it better for the players as they're the ones who pay for it. In my mind this one wins out every time.

If you make it big enough and good enough for the spectators and the public... then eventually they will pay for it and the paintballer's won't...

But that is some way off in the future still. Currently you need to look to cater for both in my opinion.
