It will be loosely based on one of the situations that was included in the many "falls", the Independance of Britain (408-449 ad) with the battered roman garrison being forced out of britain back to the Garrison in Gaul. I use the term loosely there by the way.
As you will probably know scenario games tend not to stick to the historic fact. and if the y don't...so what?

Ahhhhh hell, I've spent three months working on a fully functioning ballista and my war elephants are in training, and now I find out I've got to use a paintball marker. Dammit.

I'm just peed off that it's not going to be historically accurate, we lost two front men when I made them stand in the path of burning Lava on Saturday. And my Testudo's are giving me gyp.
We sacrificed a goat to the god's on Sunday, the augeries were good..... it predicted barbecued goat for lunch, and bugger me if it wasn't spot on.
Oh, and we're all out of Vestal Virgins again.

The ballista consignment from Spain may be held for the moment. Scarifices unfuortunately will have to put on hold as the emperor has imposed the Nicene Forumlation of the Catholic faith, so bread and wine anyone?
Might be able to see my way to getting some stuck boars and barbequed goat though......
