OK - so now all these people feel the need to type how "OK" their trip has turned out to be to Maxs before... it would be more interesting to hear what Malera and the others alike did wrong to get all their markers taken from them.

Last year I had my air bottle in my hand luggage.
The only thing I needed to do was to show the security how it works and what it was and that it was empty. I even had the regulator on the air bottle.

And for the guns, we just told them what we had in the luggage and then we needed to wait for a man from the Airport Police so he could check out the guns. He didn`t do much, except telling us that paintball is cool ;)

DJ=) gotta tell you you were VERY VERY lucky. That security guy should get sacked. They should not let anyone through with an airbottle and a reg in the handluggage. It´s completely against the rules of flying. I recommend no one to ever try it, since what will probably happen is you get stopped and then you have to go back to checkin asking them to find your checked in bag again so you can put it there and this could take time... Also if you can take the bottle and reg apart just to make shure there´s no pressure in it, or at least empty it.

Agge, I know.

But, just for the record, I have done this 5 times or somethings, and it works everytime. With the 15 kg limit on Ryan Air flights we need to put the heavy things in our hand luggage.
From now on I will not risk it.

I think the problem isn't so much with the guys driving over, but with those that take the plane. That's why I said drive/fly via Holland. There are NO border checks between Germany and Holland...
except you are looking somewhat suspicious to the cops hiding round the corner, looking for drug-smugglers

True, there are plenty of those on the Dutch/German border, but the smart (and quick) route takes you through Holland, then Belgium and then Germany. Belgium isn't exactly a narco-state, so there are way less cops there.

Besides, I've crossed the German/Dutch border a gazillion times, and never even been pulled for a check, much less caught with anything naughty.

Not that I would carry any naughtiness, obviously...:p

F mark Symbol

whats does the F mark symbol look like?

is it a F inside an Pentagon ????

If so, shocker owners look by your serial number as both mine have it on

I have spoken to Phil Webb at SmartParts who sells guns in Germany and therefore already operates with the F stamp system. He is able to F stamp your guns for you before you go to Germany. If you give him a call or pop by the shop he can sort it out for a small charge (10 quid I believe).

Thanks
