Some time ago? The SAS gunned those IRA scumbags down about a decade ago didn't they, and quite right too!! Should I look back at the infamous Vietnam debacle to contest your example? Where do we draw the line here? How far back into history should we travel? Should I point out that we were a civilised nation when you guys were wearing small patches of leather over your genitals and whooping into your hands. Thats before you ever saw a horse, and clearly before we populated your continent with our dross and forced you to pay us all kinds of money for the priveledge of remaining British...
And how dare you say I am trotting out a smug/superior attitude? I'm British, to us its history - to you it's smug and superior, but only because its incontestable.
Perhaps one day the billions of dollars the US spends on 'Space-ships' will pay off? Hopefully before their economy completely collapses. Found anything useful up there yet? (thanks for the Cable TV though)

Have to admit I don't know where the guardian gets its stats these days, but maybe they were talking about these armies in $ value, or indeed destructive capability/firepower to make thier case. If the data is wrong, I concede the point.;) I certainly wasn't deliberately faking. Not my style at all..

and the arab looking slightly suspicious looking guy we gunned down in cold blood should have paid attention.
How many people in Cuba these days? Soon there will be more dishevelled and confused Arabs there than Cubans. Are you planning to use them to finally rid the world of the last of the vile commie threat?

...I can go on all day.:)

While you two rattle on about such mundane matters as friendly kills, I would like to take issue with Baca as to just why do Americans (and us too now to a certain degree but only because we been infected by you guys) feel it incumbent upon themselves to start sniveling like a child every time a camera comes near them when discussing even slightly emotive issues.

The inevitable quivering lip seems to be almost compulsory in what seems to be a perceived validation of their state of mind or suffering when most Europeans wouldn't bat an eyelid and just get on with things.

God knows how many times I have seen grown men and women when confronted with a microphone and camera descend into an emotional state that is so disproportionate to the event they are experiencing that I find it hard to believe the sound and cameramen don't burst out laughing and beat the **** outa the weak-minded bastids trying to elicit sympathy.

It's a frikkin epedimic and we see it here now every time we get an Oprah / Springer type show with our own scum bag wannabees who just wanna appear on tele and blub.

My rant over :)

You two can continue until Gyro pipes up :)

Yes Disco, I am, but sometimes I have to stick up for you Euro's darling.

And Pete - its the quest for fame that's infected the US. It doesn't matter how, people just want to be famous/on TV. Crying/screaming = more camera time, which is what these poor pathetic creatures yearn for more than anything else.
and friendly Kills? Don't even get me started on that one. Too much materiel and it's been done before.;)

Mr Loco, I changed my name once, and that was because I beat some poor twat up so bad the only thing he had left was to 'out' my identity out of spite. Since then people have blown my cover a few times, but only because they lacked the skill to get at me any other way.

Go ahead, make my day.

1--friendly kills? Nothing friendly or accidental as the combat related term implies in the examples mentioned. (Though the real topic was Missy's self-delusion.)

2--why the hell are you asking me?

2A--ya right, blame the ugly Americans. Everybody else does. Join the club.

2B--could be though it has something to do with peeps refusing to take responsibility for themselves and consequently viewing themselves as victims no matter what the circumstance--which status your government and mine fosters to varying degrees.
