Alright..

I've just skimmed most of this,but...

Perspective? A little? Please?

OK, so maybe Strange borrowed some jersies and had some fun with them. Not saying it's ok, but penalize them in proportion, if need be, laugh a little, and be done with it.

An event promoter logging on to a web forum and throwing mud is, in my opinion, a far greter problem that two borrowed jersies. An event promoter should be smart enough to realize that there's a process, and follow that process.

And if, as is apparently the case, an event promoter is so %^&* pissed about two jersies, he should put his money where his mouth is and be that pissed about the $1500 markers and other gear stolen from the events he runs before he goes off the wall about 2 jersies which were obviously "borrowed" for prank vs. profit motives.

Is this amount of energy expended by one of the promoters when some poor nov B team has one of their markers stolen?

No?

Then shut up already.

It seems to me that two wrongs... oh, you know.

Theft is wrong. Even when it is alledgedly in service of a prank. It is understandable how something like this might have happened, especially if you work with children or drunks for a living. If members of Strange stole something from a gear bag, they should be punished.

Threats of violence are wrong. Even if the cheeky *******s have it comin'.

Threats from event promoters is so unprofessional it is kinda shocking to me... but maybe my skin is too thin for kickboxing, er, I mean paintball. I witnessed a near fight at a field where a ref attacked a player for shooting hot. I will not go back, because that is a dangerous place to play, whether or not my goggles are on my head.

It occurs to me that whether or not members of Strange are guilty of stealing, the reputation of the team has been injured. If they are guilty, fine, but they were injured without any governing body applying anything resembling due process. That means that justice , if members of Strange are guilty of theft, has still not been served. Revenge has been taken instead. Paul Alders could have opted to deny or confirm the accusation, probably more immediately, had the accusation been via the EPA rather than through the p8ntballer.com forum.

It occurs to me that if anonymous violence did befall any members of Strange during subsequent visits to Europe, it might reflect poorly on the team whose captain threatened members of that team on a forum. If I were fortunate enough to be a member of Joy Division, the safety of team Strange members would now be in my own best interests.

I don't know members of either team, though I had better opinions of both teams before reading this thread.

P.S.
Magued, I hope you get those jerseys back. I can identify... I have been stolen from so much in paintball events, I could have completely kitted out two players in lost goods.

Alright, I'm locking this thread. If anything CONSTRUCTIVE comes of this, then we can start something else up, but, as of now, this is going nowhere. I'm not going to stand by and watch people (even friends) go at each other over differing opinions. Magued was wronged, but coming on here and presenting it this way is equally wrong. The thread should've been gone, or atleast changed right from the beginning, so here's where I do my job.
