Here's a question for my European friends.
I've heard a lot of criticism that the US is the wealthiest nation in the world, but our taxes are too low and we don't take good enough care of the poor in our own country let alone the rest of the planet.
Then, I see every other order (at least) that comes through from Europe, with the request to "please mark this as a gift" or at the bare minimum asking to reduce the stated sales price with the obvious intent to defraud customs and avoid paying the sizely VAT tax, which pays for all those lovely social programs you have.
So...it would seem the prevailing attituted is, "take care of the poor, but not with my money! use somebody else's hard earned cash!" Should you guys be happy everytime you place an order for that new shiny gun and get charged 25% (or more, I've got no idea) in taxes?
Just want a direct opinion from the people involved of how you guys feel about taking a financial hit for the unemployed dude down the street...
