European 5 man Championships, 4 & 5 October 2003

Pure Rush Promotions has many years experience in promoting/organising big indoor/outdoor music events employing such people as Carl Cox, Grooverider, Goldie, Radio 1's Dream Team, etc.
We have travelled and played in all millennium events to date and believe them to be amongst the very best in the world (In Paintball terms at least), so with this in mind we will try to match/better the quality you may expect to see at the Millennium Series. Id agree

Yep I'd agree if I was forking out major entry fee and travel, accomodation etc I would expect to play at least 12 times to be honest, 6 games a day. Anything less than that I'd feel I was geting short changed slightly.

Sounds great though !!

Keep us posted and put some figures up in pounds £££ as well as Euros, saves everyone reaching for the calculators !! :D

Thanks

Sounds good Woz

I'd have to agree with Manike though, you need at least 10 games. 12 would rule BUT might make for hard scheduling, especially with finals an that.

I fancy it but I think one of your main concerns should be that the event is pretty similar to Millennium entry fees but isn't part of the series. This is cool as a one off big UK event, which I think we desperately need but most teams will probably want to pay the money to do a Millennium and get some European recognition.

If you can make a real big deal of it and promote it well enough then the attraction will be there.

Sounds awesome though dude.

How many games did you get at the indoor?

How long were those games (usually)?

I think 10 games is better but I'd take 9 "proper" games ovre 12 "mini" games anyday.

And if people want help converting to £££ - Look Here

This is the funy bit.

Everyone knows the indoor aint exactly value for money so this one sounds pretty damn good.

12 games over 2 days plus 2 finals games.
5 minute games.
Most of our games were over in 2 minutes tops.
Quite a few lasted about 30 secs - 1 min.
I think JJ worked it out to be something like £100 per minute for the team (give or take). All costs included obviously.

Now that is pretty ridiculous aint it.

Woz, you'll have to give some real solid booking info to teams.

Ok Guys,

Ok keep it coming this is great!

Right the original plan was to play 5 games on Day 1 either in morning/afternoon slots. Then 4 games on Day2 and then on to semis/finals.

It will take some adjusting but I will now change it to 5 games on each day.(12 is just to hard on the schedule sorry guys)

As for the Entry's this also can be changed, but will reflect in the overall prizes. If you look at the amount in prizes to be won compared with other tourneys you will find the entry to not be so bad, but if enough people want cheaper entry it could be done on the whole.

I am not really worried about Millennium series as we are launching this event with sole sponsors WDP and Diablo. Owen (WDP) was so impressed with the whole setup that they wanted to incorporate this event into the Super7's, but unfortunately we can only fit 4 5Man fields into the stadium. So this will be in every way as good as millenium but 5Man instead of 7Man.

Thanks again for the feedback guys!
