I was there and I watched that game against our Novice team. I will not comment on what happened as it is under the bridge. Not bothered about it and why should we be? Our Novice team came 1st overall in Div 2.

Anyway my point is that all tournament we were shouting

"POOOOOON" and various poon related jokes (its an in house team joke), and people were asking us why we were BOOing our own teammates!! We had to laugh as they do sound similar, especially when 40 or so people are poon-ing

:D

Who cares if "who ever" was playing on... it was not against the rules... Because there was no punishment for it...
actually the team/players who played on were penalty pointed.
which i think caused them to be knocked out of the tourny ,so punishment was dished out ,and maybe they wont do it again??

Yea but penalty points don't affect the out come of the game... You could still win the game even though your whole team carried on... Where if they were 141'ed on the spot it could throw the game for them and they could loose...

What were the penalty points for "carring on?"

I don't think anyone on my team would of been happy at all if i caused a 141...

the penalty points were for playing on ,they were not 1-4-1 because my player left the field as soon as he was shot, and the judges could not put him back in the game , wierd decision i agree, but that was what they did on the day.
the crowd saw the playing on incident and were booing loudly ,however the crowd were not on the field ,and i as team captain have to abide by what the field ultimates decision was at the time .and you should know ,as i do the tourny ultimate is not going to overturn that decision ,or change the scores .And
its a fact of life ,that players will play on ,its not smart, its not clever ,but it happens and has been going on since i started playing this game of ours 12 years ago, unfortunatly as with any competative sport players will do everything they have to ,to win the game and i am afraid we have to live with that fact, because try as we may we cant stop it .

Missed the point...

I was not talking about any particular incident...

I was talking about the fact that the tourniment (Zap indoor) has no 141 rule... Coz any other event i've played has one, and that keeps everybody in line to a certain extent... wheather it be playing-on/wipeing/argueing whatever...

Please don't get me wrong i loved the event and can't wait for Zap indoor 2005, coz i'll be there! i would just prefer to see a 1 4 1 rule added to the rule book... :)

Depends if the marshalls are up to the task for implamenting 1-4-1's tho the PA league marshal training course could be useful and have the judges rained up for this rule!!!!

If there was no 1-4-1 rule then think Quake might be a bit pissed as they had a player 1-4-1d for arguing with the marshalls on field 1, which i think inferno were marshalling on.
