.....Woodsballers - check out the press release where Nick mentions "modular" ;)
"The Etha has been designed and constructed with a modular approach in mind and incorporates mounting points around the body for the addition of accessories and upgrades to be bolted directly to the marker. It should make for economical expansion of the Etha for those looking to build upon this exciting new platform."

oooooh, exciting, maybe this is the source of the scenario marker rumours. or is it?????

All I can do is quote Jack Wood.......

"By the way, these will be on display at World Cup in Orlando next week together with some more details of the modular systems we have planned for the Etha." ;)

It'll be absolutely nothing like the mini. Nor is it anything like the mini. For one it's bigger(roughly the same size as the geo 1). And two, it shoots nothing like the mini.
So it's an Axe then? ;)

Heh, seriously though, interesting to see so many companies (Empire with the Mini and Axe, Tippmann with the X7 and Planet with the Etha) taking the Automag firing model (blow forward/spring return) and managing to make it work so well in an electro. Will be interested to have a play at Time Wars on Sunday.

If this is priced at (or below) the price range of the Axe, this is incredible value. It has the same reg as Planet's high-end models, and a two-piece 14" barrel straight out of the hardcase box, an OOPS, clamping feedneck and stupidly simple internals all over.

Whoever said it had no bells and whistles is just wrong. Aside from the OLED board (which will no doubt be an aftermarket upgrade), what on earth is it missing?

Soon enough it just won't be worth spending any more than £400 on a brand new marker (if it ever was ;) ).

So going by what is read, this is essentially the Geo's equivalent of what the Etek is to the Ego ranges; a lower market version.

So how would the Etha (or G-tek :D ) compare to it's poppet valved twin the etek? Would this essentially be giving the Ego vs Geo options to lower entry players? Seems like a great idea, surprised they didn't do it before.
