ronnie if your happy its the pink zap stainng then maybe put a new thread up, that way everyone can re-visit the staining paint again .. zap was banded about before but i though t it had been ruled out ..

any ways we've managed to thread jack this away from a bunch of scum bags wrecking stb so i think a new thread would be in order ..

Back to the crux of the matter......

Jon. You have my deepest sympathies mate, I've only recently started playing at Elsham & found it to be the most proffessionally run site yet.
I've spent the better part of my life organizing motorcycle rallies & I know exactly where you're coming from with this, as someone famously said "all it takes is for 1% of the population to give the other 99 a bad reputation." Trying to persuade marshalls that picking up litter & cleaning bogs is like trying to nail fog to the wall, but it's the only way to prevent this ridiculous behaviour from continuing, personally I would be pleased to help in this respect in the future, depending on what the future brings.

When you think of "Bikers" most people still imagine us to be uncouth layabouts, who leave piles of filth everywhere we go.
Well, this stems from the actions of the "1%" from anything upto 50 years ago ! Please don't let our beloved (& already minority) sport fall into this sort of disrepute. I mean, come on, how hard is it to clear up your mess after 1 night's camping, or test your marker/paint against the floor, not the marquee sides, really ?
Joe Public & his Wife already think of us as gung-ho-couldn't-get-into-the-army-run-around-in-camo-in-the-woods loonies anyway.
lets not fuel the fire Eh.

I hope the situation improves for the PA Cup, what with there being so much press, TV there etc.....

& if you need to find me there, I'll be picking up litter on the campsite.

As the t-shirt says :- It's A Shame Stupidity Isn't Painfull

Rob. (99%-er)

Well said.

One way of making stupidity painfull would be by making teams book in for camping and giving them an allocated pitch... more work I know but then they would be responsible for and traceable to their area.

Give all campers a bin liner so that there is no excuse and if too much mess is found then punitive action can be taken against the whole team as in maybe 5 points from the series total. Random Marshals can wonder around and warn pitches that there site is too messy.

Just an idea
