Back to the crux of the matter......
Jon. You have my deepest sympathies mate, I've only recently started playing at Elsham & found it to be the most proffessionally run site yet.
I've spent the better part of my life organizing motorcycle rallies & I know exactly where you're coming from with this, as someone famously said "all it takes is for 1% of the population to give the other 99 a bad reputation." Trying to persuade marshalls that picking up litter & cleaning bogs is like trying to nail fog to the wall, but it's the only way to prevent this ridiculous behaviour from continuing, personally I would be pleased to help in this respect in the future, depending on what the future brings.
When you think of "Bikers" most people still imagine us to be uncouth layabouts, who leave piles of filth everywhere we go.
Well, this stems from the actions of the "1%" from anything upto 50 years ago ! Please don't let our beloved (& already minority) sport fall into this sort of disrepute. I mean, come on, how hard is it to clear up your mess after 1 night's camping, or test your marker/paint against the floor, not the marquee sides, really ?
Joe Public & his Wife already think of us as gung-ho-couldn't-get-into-the-army-run-around-in-camo-in-the-woods loonies anyway.
lets not fuel the fire Eh.
I hope the situation improves for the PA Cup, what with there being so much press, TV there etc.....
& if you need to find me there, I'll be picking up litter on the campsite.
As the t-shirt says :- It's A Shame Stupidity Isn't Painfull
