The view that a marker should only be rolled out if there's something innovative is a bit shortsighted. From the looks of it, Planet have combined alot of new features into an already successful marker, setting it up to be another good release.

I see no reason to discredit it.

Pretty sure, mate sort it out, how many times do you want to change your tone.

One word for your attempts and this is... wait for it ..... ROFLCOPTER,

Grow up.

How many times do I want to change my tone? I haven't changed it. Your seeing things that arn't there like the kid who doesn't have a leg to stand on.

My comment was based on the designs of the 2 guns, the intimidator and impulse had slightly different designs/dimentions of opening the poppet. The timmy also had a vertical board, the impulse horizontal, the Ego is based off the intimidator design because it was more slimline and compact than the Impulse.

So perhaps get a clue before posting again. Want to retract your statement about the impulse yet?

Not going to answer the question?
Have you looked at the solenoid? if not, please do, def tec, cure bolt, purge front reg (see geo), dual trigger sensors, optical trigger sensor, shall i go on?

Pretty sure the ego did evolve from the timmy, something to do with the hammer / rammer design difference between impulses and timmies. Either way the timmy and impulse are pretty similar.
ok the "rammer" is a rework of a timmy "rammer", but then a timmy is a "rework" of a bushy/impulse.

honestly if you break any gun down, all the parts are reworks of previous ideas, until you get to the 1st one
Geo, didnt really follow it, was yet again just "another gun" from PE sporting, nothing interesting.
really, have you ever truely studied it?

i understand you are timmy mad, and cos the ego kinda looks like the timmy, u got your nose bent out of joint, but really, if we didn't innovate from existing designs, then you wouldnt be wearing shoes, only cow hide

look at bob long now, going from strength to strength, reworking ideas all the way, from defiant all the way to the new one

i believe the vertical board in the icd bushmaster can clearly be seen here, you have heard of that gun? it is the similar one to the defiant they made for bob before the timmy

Add to that:

Dual clamping feedneck
Reverse threaded two piece barrel
The rammer/bolt geometrics (even if they weren't entirely successful in the field)

Yes, it's a repeated design but the little things they improve on are enough of a reason to support them. I have yet to shoot a more reliable marker.
I for one am tired of egos, but I will make sure you are well enough informed before you go attacking one of the most customer friendly companies I have ever dealt with.

The ego is the perfect marker for the sheep market as it requires very little looking after, parts are easily available and the customer service is excellent.

That is why the ego has been the most popular marker for the last 4 years. It is a simple as that.It certainly cannot be that it shoots smoother or is more accurate than anything else out there. It is the fact you don't have to look after it and it still works, also the fact that planet did the marketing coup of giving them to loads of pro teams to shoot so then everyone wanted what the bigboys shoot.

Look what dynasty did for the shocker and smartparts, they managed to make the world believe the shocker was a high end marker for years.

very very very true about the shockers and dynasty.
it was more like a mid range to be honest but everybody bought one. even i did and now i cant get rid of the bugga.
russian legion
dynasty
ton ton
naughty dogs
phillys
they all had them so eerybody bought them. the markers that sells the most and earns the rank of the best marker by many people is the marker thats more well advertised.

i am sure the vanguard creed is a good marker. but i wouldnt risk buying it because to my knowledge i dont know any teams that shoot it. but smart parts have never let me down. so for same price i would prefer the impulse becuase its better advertised already and its from a company who has been in paintball and making markers for 10+ years. they know what there doing

like that idea, almost like a cars ecu can work out fuel/air mix for the car, same for hpa etc to get the required crono you need. Think it is possible just need lots more electrical and lots of sensors lol and a few more years. Just tell your gat you want 290fps and it does it for you :)
I don't think that that could really ever work, how could the marker work out the ball-barrel fit? If the balls to small it decreases efficiency and FPS as most know.
