I've been using eggs on ego's for nearly 2 years now and they've always been ok.
Dark Stranger using Junior Browns ego reached silly rof's using my spare egg so I don't think they have a feed issue.
There are better hoppers as advised I won't argue that point but the question was would the egg do ok....YES...better with a Z-board...:D

Cam apologies I didn't mean it the way it sounded(edited),anyway if the set-up caused a feed issue it would cause it with any hopper:eek::eek:;)..
Now fhe is really confused..the answer buy the cheapest(egg) and if it's no good upgrade(yes I did say upgrade),don't think you'll find a problem with it though...;)

I chopped my feedneck down on my egg so that it sat flush on top of my ion, and never had a problem with the feedneck or the balance of the setup. Eggs without sawing the feedneck down stick about 18 feet in the air, and I can imagine the additional stress this hi-rise contraption wold put on the feedneck may give problems.

I'll be honest to say I loved my eggy, but when it was time to upgrade, it's time to upgrade.

Before jumping on the bandwagon and getting a reloader b though, consider a pulse. Nice bit of kit.

I dont see why he should get an Egg, then have to upgrade if it doesnt suit? When he could just get a standard Reloader B, which doesnt need upgrading, and is more balanced without having to take a hacksaw to the feedneck.

Because his original question was would an egg be ok,I presumed he may already have an egg thereofre there would be no expenditure,if he has no hopper the egg is the cheapest option and as I said it would be ok IMHO.
I'm being honest and trying to be un-biased...:D
BTW matt you don't state if you've used an egg yourself.
