what about the "horns" on profilers????

not a peak, slight protection for the forhead area as well.
Stops rain getting in and acts as protection as you said.

I hate headbands...so i'm not wearing one lol

But the "horns" dont rele promote bounce at all - breaks just as easily as if it were your forehead...

lets be honest. it looks stupid.......who cares if its a band wagon or not.

if ure getting rain INSIDE the old goggles then dont peak it up....get some black tapey stuff and tape the vents at the top ;)

people always say that looking cool isnt everything but lets be honest this game does have a huge aspect of looking bloody good. what ever people say deep down they know they wanna look cool :cool:
lookin' cool is wot it's all about :D

and whats cooler than a rock-god-slide?! haha

...also, anything bodged with tape is cool - especially your hopper battery door *nods*

it is surprising how much peak you see when playing against a team that wear them, they thing they are about to have sneaky look at you but the first thing you see is something like a car bonnet stuck on their head.

I believe this is the reason why people don't use them much but I will always use one at the first sign of rain or of course playing straight into the sun.

I guess some people won't wear one because it will partially cover up their beloved white lens frames that they have just bid £100 for though:rolleyes:

Really don't think it has that much to do with looks, or at least it shouldn't.

Peak

Woodsball = Peak + Fan
(to keep off sunlight and rain, which in England you are liable to encounter at the same time on - oh and it does keep the rain off mostly having been at Op Bandwagon II this year where it rained all day....).

Tourney = No peak
(to minimise target area and look cool)

Simple aint it?

some good comments flying around there. i dont think its cosmetic, with out peak gives you greater veiwing radius as you all know in this game you need 20 20 vision the peak helps protect against sun glare but on the i3's you can get lense's to take the sun glare away

i dunno how big the peaks are on the masks you guys are wearing, or infact what kinds of games ur playing...
but by the sounds of it these things must be at least a foot long, and people come at you from high up in the trees....

come on gents (and ladies), its about 2" long at the most.... if you get taken out by a shot to the peak your either unlucky, or youve just escaped a ball that would tw*t your head anyway, and if it obstructs your vision STOP TRYING TO LOOK THROUGH IT! ;)

whichever sport your into which needs a mask/helmet. sooner or later someone always brings up the "peaks are gay" threads, notably in downhill mountain biking, where riders where taking the peaks off to make them more areodynamic. (ffs... its bike, not a jet).

personally im not bothered, but it all boils down to personal opinion, it has practical uses/drawbacks just like anything else. and it has "fashion implications" just like anything else.

its just a peak. get over it.... :p

well i dunno how thin your head is to have a peak only 2 inches long but the rest of us they are near 7 inches!
anyone have those horns for the profilers and a peak as well - the twat i bought them off - play_the_game - never sent them with it.
