well once you have marchelled a few tournaments you will realiese that you might as well shoot bouncy balls i have seen all the paint flying every month and i have to agree it bounces like there's no tommorow it might be good in the marker but i certainly doesnt break half the time...
i think they should have a look at the zap again

Also weird that in Amsterdam both myself and a team mate where bounced by Hellfire and yet that's supposed to be one of the best paints in the world?

And that allegedly Avalanche used Chronic in Dam cos the Diablo was so hard?

The thing I really don't get is why everyone feels the need to slag off each other’s paint just cos there sponsored by one brand. Now I am sponsored by Zap, and I do think it's top. It shoots straight as hell and when I point my axe at someone they tend to walk, but that doesn't mean that I have to go round slating every other brand of paint. I like Zap but I'm not so short sighted that I can't see that their are other good brands of paint about, I just prefer using the zap, even when I wasn't sponsored!

looks like this could go on forever, in my view chronic is a great paint best i have ever put out of my gun and the team have had no problems. but im sure somewhere someone has got a problem with and we end up getting the old boring ZAP vs diablo arguement which goes on for ever and ever................

I think one of the most interesting things about this argument is that it's all Zap vs Diablo, with very little mention of brands like Nelson & Scherer. Zap users slag down Diablo, Diablo users slag down Zap, Nelson & Scherer users just say how nice their paint is without being rude about the others & no-one particularly criticises their choice. I think this may be to do with the rivalry between the different paint manufacturers more than the quality of the paint. Over many years, I've noticed this kind of discussion where the top 2 brands have deadly rivalry & the others just carry on with life, e.g. I remember Forest vs Scherer in the past, followed by Zap vs Scherer.
I choose to shoot Diablo as do the rest of my team. That was one of the reasons why we got some assistance from Diablo rather than the other way round. I personally loathe having Zap shot at me because of the additional pain & bruising I seem to get from Chronic. That's my opinion, other people have theirs.

But NOBODY likes Brass Eagle!!!

Now, I aint sponsored by any paint company, so my view must be valid, right?

Anyways, out of choice, I shoot slam ball from RPS, when that's not available, I'll take whatever advantage shell paint is available, unless is marble-izer - we were bouncing that stuff off hoppers and the like out in Toulouse.

Diablo - their good batches are good, but their bad batches - well, I sometimes make the joke about the special freak barrel insert from SP for diablo users - egg shaped (pls note - in the Diablo blurb they admitted to changing the shape, so something must have been wrong, surely they should only have ever made round balls)

Zap, usually pretty good, the first tourney paint I used was Zap, and that box is in my top 3 boxes of paint ever - Mars I think it was called, red/blue shell, white toothpaste fill. Some of the newer stuff is pretty good too.

BUT I agree with dumping chronic (poor choice of name anyways, which doesn't help with it's image) - I got mugged by someone shooting chronic out in Toulouse, and it put a hole through my playing top - boo, too hard paint!

(All that above stuff is just my opinion tho, if any paint companies want to sponsor/assist Portsmouth Uni team, your paint will suddenly become the best in the world )

Northy_Delta, please try to read what I have written before slagging me down. Firstly, I noted in my last post that I shot Diablo by choice and LATER the team got some help from them. I know very well just what a team at the level of the Chicks could expect from a paint sponsor, and I also know that Jerry isn't the type to hand out extra cases because of ass kissing - I've known the guy for many years now & that has never been his style.
I could also point out that rather attractive Zap sponsorship was offered to the Chicks & we chose to stay with Diablo, so that sort of blows your theory out of the water.
I don't praise stuff that I don't like whoever makes it, I don't ass kiss anyone for any reason, I tell things the way I see them. The only thing I could be accused of I suppose is that often if I can't say anything nice I keep my mouth shut (though not often ).

portsmouth uni we also asked to apply for a zap sponsorship, but we turned it down as they were trying to dictate to us what we could and could not, if we wanted to play toulouse we had to play the ZAO in portugal, also we had played with some of their paint and decided that we didn't want to use it. and stuck with RPS. as flash said diablo have varying degress of 'roundness' sometimes and we wanted something more relaible. and in the uk there are not really any other suppliers of paint.

what does my head in are the pointless comments that people slap on the end of there posts all the time slagging off one company or the other. i had no intent of slagging you off, i have respect for you and your team, i am sorry if i have caused offence. I did not intend for the post to be directly aimed at you, but if you suddenly found yourself under Zap sponsership like i said im sure you would soon praise Zap.
