Hi Guys,
well we had a great time at MM round 1, sorry for the small delay at start but by law we have to ensure cylinders filled are in date, weve had a few Dot cylinders turn up, we cant fill these as were a commercial source so please remember for next time, were at all the MM 2003 events and all of Bullys and at some of Sparklys and Barrys, weve just purchased a small 7.5 ton truck to enable us to be at 2 places at once.
Once again many thanks to the promoters for brilliant events and well see you at the indoor on the 8th and 9th.

Trevor:)

Its as the man says DOT bottles cant and wont be filled or tested by H-PAC because it is illegal in this country. This applies even if u are from USA, Jersey or any where in the universe. So for those who dont understand that if it has three letters which say DOT, and not HSE on it dont bother wasting there time by asking them to check it.;)

Lifted from another thread, originally postedby Mark of Cougars Fame:

DOT for use in this country (by an an englishman) ILLEGAL
DOT for use in this country (by a visiting national) LEGAL
There is some form of "special exemption" for visiting peoples, otherwise how the hell would any foreign divers ever dive in British waters? Never mind the small number of non-UK teams that play Campaign Cup each year (and Mayhem in days of old).

Pat, it's not just if you're not part of the EU, it's if you're not part of the UK/Great Britain (can't remember which the HSE has a hold over at this time of the morning ;) ).

I'd say if you are a foreign national, and have a DOT bottle, it's probably be worth taking a photocopy of your passport along with you, to prove that you're entitled to use of a DOT bottle.

And I'm still of the opinion that there should be a sticky thread in the techroom containing the legalities of paintball - maybe even a big old article on the p8ntballer front page that could cover the legalities in all the countries around the world. Now there's an idea. ;)
