oh dear.....

"The fastest growth area in paintball at the present time is the conversion of markers from CO2 to compressed air. With this in mind the UKPSF would like to bring to player’s attention the need to have cylinders tested at approved intervals. Testing must be carried out on all full fibre wrap after three years and half fibre wrap bottles after five years from the date of manufacture., Steel and Aluminium bottles must also be tested five years from the manufactured date. This applies to ALL bottles of 0.5litre capacity and above including CO2 bottles."

ive never seen a co2 bottle thats got a retest sticker on it? :confused:

Plus....

At least stateside....

24 oz. CO2 = $30

Hydrotest = $15

At 5 years, it generally is more economic to just buy a new c02 tank.

Well in theory whoever supplies the air at any event in the UK should not fill DOT bottles. H-Pac are just following the law by not filling them, and they are the ones who could be put out of business if they are caught doing it.
Not disputing the theory Liz, We as Brits are allowed to use HSE tanks in the states (if in date of course) (Chris our tanks have been checked by the air filling people every time and never been refused....yet ;) ) but we don't allow the same leniency to the visiting nationals test standard. So in "theory" all the visiting teams will have to either buy/borrow/hire HSE/CE tanks or buy/borrow/hire scuba tanks and fill from them, unless a "Special Dispensation (sp?)" can be sought for the Campaign event to allow H-Pac to fill all the tanks. Can see it still causing problems as some people who haven't bought an HSE/CE tank but are English, will whine that how come Dynasty can fill their tanks, but only if the allowing of the DOT tanks to get around the legal side of things is fixed for the event.
