Does sex sell?

Okay we've all seen the new Jt ads by now featuring Cheslea in not a lot of fabric. But is this tactic by Jt actually going to sell anymore of thier products [apart from posters to teenagers].
We all know that sex sells in most industries but is it going to work within our sport. Yes there are a large number of youngsters within the sport, but due to the prices and outlays the players continue in the majority to be late 20's to early 40's, and thus the young lady in a skimpy outfit no longer makes us wish to buy a product. [hell most of the players in this age group are hitched with kiddies at home.]
Also the eye candy is all well and good but with an increase of female players in the sport wheres their eyecandy?

So have Jt had a blast of genius in the new campaign or have they shot themselves in the foot?
Discuss.

why are we even gettin into this, yes sex sells yes we are gonna buy it.

I am really startin to worry about tha sexuality of alot of the males on these boards, as soon as sum gorgeous chick gets her kit off, you all start cryin bout tha image of the sport and 'oh wot if its not good for paintball'

The way i see it paintball is doin just fine at the moment, its gettin bigger every year, so why are sum people so worried about the image and wot other people think??

If sum people dont wanna play cause chicks be gettin there kit off or they think we are sexist then its their loss, at the end of the day we all kno wot they are missing and they dont, there fools for not playin :D

Chicks + paintball = all good

TL...Oh dear... that didnt work did it??

My 2p's worth... Most of the time pic's like Chelsea's are used just as an 'attention grabber', aren't they? If you've got something to bring (albeit just the name JT) to a predominantly male sport get a sexy lady to hold it. Sexy lady gets the guys attention then eyes travel further.. (hopefully to the item she's holding!!) and advertisers have instantly got what they wanted... your attention. So sex isnt really selling...its just saying 'ave a butchers at this... And no, as a female im not at all bothered by this type of advertising  I

I'm quite happy to look at some of the recent Dye adverts... without the jersey would be an improvement though :D
