Ah Jones you are talking my language.:D I started at Holmbush and played all tourneys there for about year and half. I think you are talking about the "Barrel" field, but who could forget the "Anthill" field, the "Mound" field, the "Valley" field or the "Crater" field. Man those things rocked at 10 and 7 man! We couldn't believe it when they were cut in half for 5 man:( Clive please hold a huge team tourney there again!

Charlie

I speak as a rec player, but they have some mighty fine fields there. Remember the bus? Must have been my second time there and I picked possibly the worst place to take cover.

See the end of "Saving Private Ryan" when the tank is rumbling towards Hanks and Matt Damon is curled up screaming? . . .

Yeah.

I still play with a pgp in the winter. its so much fun to gog someone in 1 shot on a hyperball field and they're like "wtf? where did that come from." :) i would love to play in a pump tourney on speedball fields... i think that would be a blast. Imagine 1 case/team lol.

Yo. Bunker

Whats the Chigcago area like for paintball. My sister has just moved there and i'll be going over in september to visit.
I know you got CPX and BBT but are there any good places for rec games elsewhere.

Cheers

Jones I think you were at Holmbush a wee bit before my time coz I never saw the bus but a team mate of mine had seen it. It was just basic tourney setup when I went there. Talking of a supair pump tourney, when the Temple first became a tourney site pump tourneys held by Clive hadn't quite died out yet. So we played a lot of the tourney on the supair fields there. Thats was pretty mad coz you couldn't hit anyone from long range, so you saw some blinding moves for people to get into a closer bunker to take someone out. Man we need to get something going around here again, preferably in the woods but with a supair field as well.:)

Yeah - good idea. I remember doing the speedball thang as part of the day's rec play but a sup air pump game would be an absolute scream!

I think I saw a pump day featured in another thread here somewhere- looked like an annual thing in the midlands area, but I could be wrong.

Briefly cross-referencing another thread about paintball popularity, perhaps a sup air pump game is a good "middle ground" for enticing new people into paintball - good spectator sport and not too heavy on the paint consumption (relatively) or reliant on a £1000+ top end marker. Just a thought . . .

I think what he was sayin is that it would be nice to see some people play with a nice cheap pump once and a while rather than a $1000+ sooper-dooper 18 bps paint slinger ... Although ... Some of those Erron Carter Buzzards all tricked out with fancy Ano jobs can cost about that much ... for the sweetest stock gun you've ever shot in your life ...
