Beaker I respect what your saying dude, I know its a bit too strong to say that if people dont like the ir3 their doing something wrong. Im just trying to stress the point that the ir3 has been designed with technical, pro play in mind - its designed to aid, not to hinder performance.
I too found that I had to think about how I was holding the gun instead of my game at first, but after a few games it became more natural.
I may have gone OTT in my last post cos I just get annoyed by the amount of supposed 'pro members' who post on this board when really they have never stepped a foot near pro play and have no idea of how technical the game gets at pro level, the small things can make a difference (dynasty stormed LA using ir3, i just used rocky as an example cos ive played with him and heard his opinion).
Like you say though, the difference in performance between top-end guns is now becoming very small, good performance does start with the player and not the gun.
I also realise that some people like the good ol 45grip and dont like change, only time will tell......

I completely agree with your point about Pro level. But the example of Avalanche makes the "this gun will win you a tournament" arguement redundant.

And by the pics I saw Dynasty were only about 50% iR3's at LA.

My POV is that the top level of play does come down to small technical differences (in that I agree with you). But I do NOT believe that a reliance on the gun to give you that difference is the right way to go about it. Looking at your own personal game and technique will make 1000X more difference that just buying an iR3 will.

Indeed, the "gun makes a big difference in pro" arguement is further blown out the water by the number of teams switching from Angels to Timmy's/cockers/Impulses. If they truely felt the only way to gain that extra advantage was to shoot an iR3 then they wouldn't have jumped ship - for ANY deal. As they are no longer a good sponsorship target if they are not doing well.

i also must say that my points are also not directed at you but the "if I buy this I will play like rocky" brigade. Rocky would be a great player whatever gun he used.

Peace dude and see you around - my head hurts so I'm off to bed :)

Very true mate, buying an ir3 will not improve anybodys play so if I have been miss-understood im sorry.
The motivation behind some of my earlier posts wasnt to make people think that the ir3 will improve the player, just trying to explain that the ir3 is designed with the player in mind and for that reason they should give it a chance:cool:

peace all, cya out there:cool:
