Hi all, one here that's got me stumped and a friend has been very persuasive about the issue, so has got me thinking....
Other than failing a Visual or Hydrostatic test, is there a "Shelf life" to Dive tanks...or is it the case that they are only "retired" once they've failed a test? So theoretically you could have a 30 yr old dive tank that keeps passing it's test and so continues in service up to this date?
Really need to know this, as i've bought an unused Dive tank that was last tested in 99, so needs a test, it has all the usual information but no date stamped into it, but the paperwork that came with it telling me how to service the valve has dates around the late eighties written all over it.
Cheers for any and all input
