Dartford 7s 25th April

I thought the field sizes were cool. Fields on the grass hills at Campaign Cup last year were of similar size. It just means lane shooting all the way to the end. Sorry to disagree with increasing field sizes, in my opinion they are fine the way they are.

the fields were ok but could do with more work around the 50 area so spectators get to see those impressive moves made by front guys and very rare but even back players... more barricades please

But I feel that more Bunkers at the back would drag the games out.

every ones just sounding like a bunch of old women, every one played on the same fields so it wasnt like one side was 50 meters away and one was only 50 yards, and if you are whinging about getting shot off the break every game then either run faster or go to a different barricade thats why you walk the fields so you know which barricades to go to and whether its worth the risk running to a tricky one to do more damage and get better angles on the opposition

imho the fields were good, fast and aggresive and am looking forward to playing the next leg and who ever we play in what ever div we get put in c yer there, should be a blast if the other leg was ne thing to go off

In a way Steve i agree with you mate, but maybe not so much the fact they needed more barricades, but that the barricades that were there needed to be placed more realistically. The severe field was too low, the x-ball field was too low in the middle and the power play field was actually pretty sweet (props to the Tigers for that one! ).

Though there is one thing i gotta admit the fields did make you work for it, and like wise it was the same for both ends of the field.

First impressions wise, I was worried about the fields. It was my first tournament, but I had a good idea what to expect in a layout and it was nothing like I was hoping for.

The actual play was great though, games were fast and fun. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more on the 50s, like the block on field 3.
