For those that are interested, now that we've sorted the Jersey/Pads situation, have a read of the penalty points system. Pretty harsh, but fair I guess!

Again, from the rule book!



1. Fouls, Misconduct & Penalties.


A player will be deemed to have committed a foul for any of the following:

1. Removing or attempting to remove a hit from a paintball that has left a mark anywhere on the player’s body or equipment.

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of a 1 for 1 and –50 points

2. Continuing to fire his gun after knowingly receiving a hit from a paintball which has left a mark.

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of a 1 for 1 and –50 points

3. Continuing to fire his gun after being instructed by a referee that he has been eliminated.

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of a 1 for 1 and –50 points

4. Attempting to carry out any maneuver whilst giving the impression that they have been eliminated. This includes such maneuvers known as the “dead mans walk”.

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of a 1 for 1 and –25 points

5. Calling or communicating to another player after being eliminated

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of a 1 for 1 and –25 points

6. Refusing to leave the field immediately upon being instructed to do so by a referee.

Penalty: Application of a 1 for 1 and –25 points

7. Going back on to the pitch after he has been eliminated.

Penalty: Application of a 1 for 1 and –25 points

8. Leaving the EPZ before being called out by a referee at the end of a game.

Penalty: –25 points

9. Moving on a player declared “neutral” by a referee.

Penalty: Player is returned to the position from which he started his move.

10. Adjusting the velocity of a gun during a game in such a way as to increase it above the set 300 feet per second limit. The referee will fire three shots according to chronograph regulations.

Penalty for the average of three shots over 300 fps but less than 310 fps: -10 points and elimination of player.

Penalty for each shot over 310 fps but less than 320 fps: -25 points (max. –50 points) and elimination of player

Penalty for any single shot over 320fps -100 points and reversal of win if applicable.


11. Tampering with or altering in any way any of the equipment located in the field.

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of 1 for 1 and –50 points

12. Bunker Slamming

Any player deemed to have impacted a bunker with such deliberate force that:

a) the Bunker moves giving that player an advantage or
b) a player on the other side of the bunker is knocked over or out of position

Penalty: Elimination of the player, application of a 1 for 1 and –25 points

If in the event that before the intervention of a referee the player use the gained advantage to eliminate an opposition player or the opposition player dislodged by the initial impact is eliminated by a hit from another player on the same team as the player committing the foul then that opposition player will be reinstated.


13. At the discretion of the referees, playing in a dangerous or overly aggressive manner. This includes but not exclusively, excessive firing at close range, jumping over bunkers continuing to fire at eliminated players leaving the field.

Penalty: –25 points. At the referees discretion, player elimination and 1-4-1 may also be applied.

14. Any individual or team found to be using paintballs containing a non-regulation or staining fill will be subject to disciplinary action and may at the discretion of the Tournament Ultimate be disallowed continuation of play with that particular paint.

15. Penalty for carrying tools onto the field: -50 points.


Players eliminated during an illegal move or foul play:

In the event that a player eliminates an opposition player whilst committing a foul, the opposition player will be deemed to have not been hit. A referee will remove any hits from that player and allow him to continue in the game at the referee’s discretion.

Actions which may be subject to Penalties outside of game play.

1. Players accessing or leaving the field by any other than the recognised and signed route.

Penalty –50 points and at the discretion of the Field Ultimate the application of the Sosta Rule.

2. Players lifting or removing their mask in a live firing area.

Penalty –50 points and at the discretion of the Field or Tournament Ultimate the application of the Sosta Rule.

Player Actions with Special Considerations.

Such actions include but are not limited to:

1. Deliberately making physical contact with another player of referee.

2. Directing abuses at another player, referee, tournament official or spectator. This includes the use of obscene language, threats, aggressive gesturing or intimidation.

3. Interfering with the outcome of game from outside of the field either by direct or indirect means.

Such actions will be dealt with by the Field Ultimate at his discretion and will be referred to the Tournament Ultimate referee as soon as the game has been completed. The Tournament Ultimate may, at his discretion, elect to ban a player for a specified number of games or the remainder of the tournament.

i heard some of the marshells are being equiped with large sticks and cattle prods


but seriously i heard that they are going to be really really hot on trigger bounce???

can anyone confirm
